Great review on BOTH models. Had some experience with an ‘earlier’ model EVO II, 6K..but didn’t get to evaluate the thermal side of the software much. Awesome tech and definately a MUCH-needed capability available for many uses. Would like to see the (improbable) aspect of thermal being an OPTION IN the SMALL(ER) consumer drone market..obviously cost/acquisition would increase for the average person making it virtually unviable. Geofencing’ SHOULD BE an “option out” capability in all drones. I know this is a small topic within the video itself but an important one..and Autel got it right in that regard. Really, EITHER of these drones work in a multitude of areas..thanks!

That's the reason why all things DJI are a automatic non starter for me.

Can't wait for your review! I'll be buying the max 4t if there is not anything catastrophic about. If so I will be buying the magic 3t. 30t it's too expensive. 😢

The software of 4T is still very raw, there is not half of the functions they claim. And during the test, he flew into a tree by himself 😁 😁

Do you think the new autel would be good for deer recovery?

Does anyone know if Max4 has a catigory ?

Can either of these take both a thermal image and a RGB image simultaneously?

Both can shoot several files at once. You could record thermal, wide and zoom lens at once. You can also get a 4th record that’s shows the way you switched video sources on the remote.

@@AerialInfluence So for context, I have a DJI Zenmuse XT2 which is a hybrid camera that takes both RGB images and RJPEG at the same time so that if you're imaging solar panels for example, you have both the RGB image and Thermal Image of the same object. Do you know if either of these offers that same capability?

I am loving the specs and controller of the Autel and HATE DJI geofencing and constant updates. However, I have heard Autel customer service is garbage. Do you have any opinions or experience with Autel Support?

Is there a spotlight attachment for themax 4t?

Does the 4T have a legit 48mp camera? Will I be able to fly missions with 48mp set?

no, its the pseudo 48mp produced from a 12mp sensor . . . much like cell phones don't have 100+mp cameras, however stitched they claim they are

Can't wait to see how the max does in the hands of real pilots. Sounds like a fairly good bird...

What are the weather/ wind limits of the autel? What cooling does autel use if you're flying in near continuous heat all day? Price point looks good... But we elected to pursue DJI VS Autel for our fleet because they didn't respond to queries in a timely fashion. On the flip side... we are NOT happy with DJI support!!!! They really need to revamp their entire support layer in our opinion.

The only way to get good customer service is by using a good dealer. We pick up the slack where the big companies are lacking.

@@AerialInfluence dji knows their support is lacking. It shouldn't require a third party to get answers. When dealing with life safety issues... Support and solid software rollouts are vital.

***AI put out info on dual controllers they knew at thie time video was made --- turns out the 4T can allow multiple (3-4) controllers AND the MESH and ATAK is better then just having a 2d controller

Autel 4T seems to be much closer to the Mavic 3T. Odd comparing it to such a more capable (and expensive) drone when there is the 3T for a closer comparison.

It’s actually closer to the M30T when you look at the zoom range and laser range finder. It’s for people who want more than a Mavic and not quite as much as an M30. I’ll do a comparison of the Mavic vs the Eco Max as well.

@@AerialInfluence Laser range finder yes, but the M3T 7x optical zoom is closer to the zoom on the 4T. Either way I think the 4T is in a pretty good price range between the two since the laser range finder could be the make it or break it decision. Between the 3T and 30T you could buy 3 of the Mavic 3Ts for the price of a 30T. I have both and if I could only have one I'd chose the 3T due to the price and even more, the noise level...

@@AerialInfluence The Evo Max is head and shoulders above even the M 30T: - price ($ difference easily buys you a complete RTK fitment, including top puck and base station), - swappable payload (a first ever on this drone size and lineup), - EMI-proofing, - mm-wave radar for guy-wires avoidance (down to 0.5" wires) - IP 43 rating - small size (same as Mavic 3 E)

The M30T is a more capable drone, hands down. But you make some good points.

NO FPV Needed ! "Return Home" would get you back, radar scope on screen will enable for you to come back home.

Reviewing a drone you have never piloted nor experienced the entire gamut of ownership of a drone manufacturer's prosumer drome is ridiculous. Up front it certainly looks like you're a DJI fan boi in a haste to protect your BFF's territory, so I quit watching as soon as you disclosed you never flew the Autel 4T. I will wait for a truthful head to head IRL comparison.
