Ship of the Week is back for Season 2!
I'll be playing with all the new systems and things added to Space Engineers since season 1, and trying to make your wacky and wild ideas a reality in under one hour!
Any successful builds will be uploaded to the Steam Workshop for everyone to download and enjoy!

    Yay! Ship Of The Week! Been missing these! Cool concept Red! "Hunchback Drone Miner" was the name that came to my mind.

    You can build a timer and eventcontroller to trigger the actions you want. For example batteries load, Trusters off or this thing with Z. Just dont mess with antennas. Just let the controller trigger the timerblock. Timerblocks can also trigger with 2 options wich makes it easy. Instant and after 1s. Aslo if you add Antenna on ship + rover you shouldnt get kicked out. I build a rover with scoutdrone and managed to get around this Problem.

    A timer is a good option for if you have a lot of things to toggle, though for this drone I figured it was overkill. I like your "1 sec trigger" trick though for getting around not being able to trigger a timer block in both the "activate" and "deactivate" slot of the event controller, I hadn't thought of that! As for the disconnect on unlock, I think it has something to do with the order of merge block and connector disconnect. I can't remember which one should be unlocked first, but doing one first than the other will kick you from the remote and doing the opposite order will leave you in control. Could also just be random luck, hard to say.
