Drone footage shows Cwm Colliery 35 years after its closure

It's been 35 years since the closure of Cwm Colliery in the south Wales Valleys. The pit, in Beddau near Pontypridd, was once at the heart of its local community, employing around 800 men. It was closed in 1986 - a year after the UK miners' strike - following a decline in the coal industry.
This is what remains of the site today.

    coal bunker for coke ovens we used to have them on teesside just got demolished on Monday (Redcar coke ovens)

    That’s Cwm coking works I believe not the colliery, maybe that was adjacent or at the same sight not 100%

    Yes, you are right, its the Cwm Coking Works. The colliery was a bit further on, just a large green field at the end of the Coking Works.
