Drone, Fireworks & a Laser pen

So I decided to do a little flight over a field just north of Oulton Broad to film the fireworks.
It was all going well until some little s**t on the estate decide it would be a good idea to shine a green laser directly at the Phantom 3.
The first I know about it is DJI-GO stops showing me any picture! Still get all the icons on the screen and the green 'in flight GPS' bar but no camera! It even appeared to stop the recording (although it was still recording) I tried to take stills and stop/start recording but appeared to have lost all camera control.
Moral of the story is drones and lasers don't mix!

I´ve lost a drone, flying near a laser. :-) All of a sudden, the drone gave up. No control anymore. Steps for life ;-) Greetings and sub, LuBi

Wow, what an idiot! The messed up thing is, If he did that to you, he's likely done it to other larger aircraft. It would have been a cool video too! Thanks for sharing! 👍
Wow.. it sure looks like it would have been a cool video... ( Sorry... but you can't fight stupidity.. I don't understand the reasoning of the laser holder.)
Lasers should not be sold to the public! The single wave coherent light is very dangerous as arc welding! The laws on laser pointers should be toughen up! Lasers are NOT toys! When more people lose their eyesight there will be no more public sold lasers ....
