Hy There,
In this video i will try to fix my broken linear scale,
i'm pratty sure that it was my fail because i got problem with mill motor wich was in short, so DC current may leak to the ground and demage the scale.
i tell banggood what's happened and they send me new one, free of charge from EU warehouse, so i got new one in only few days.
Later i try to fix old one to replace only suspicious element on the board that's LM339N. I buy 10 of them for $1 and after replace the scale works like new.

A great reminder, to all of us to make sure that our machines are properly grounded and isolated, But also good information on how you went to your process of finding out which component was the most likely bad Good thought process
For those who don’t have desoldering tools, cut the part out first and then desolder each pin one by one. Less heat on the board and less likely to destroy the pads.

Thanks for tip, but that's my last choice, i don't know why but always try to get out component in one peace even if it's trash.

Thanks, that's why i make this vid, i think there are lot of chinese dro arround the globe, maybe some with same fail, if i can save $ to someone my goal is complete.

I actually came here to see how difficult or simple it would be to shorten the cables and I see it would be pretty simple. Hate all that bunched up spare cable hanging around. Much more professional to have the correct length. Thanks.

It's not a big deal just shorten 5 wire cable i think and steel protection wich is fixed with m3 screw in the head, you can shorten on one or other side, as you say not a big deal.

When I remove an IC, I try to install a IC socket (space permitting) to make the next repair easier. Sometimes mark the date and my initials so I know I've been there before.
A MAN AFTER MY HEART FOR REPAIRING Have a question you might have the answer I just bought and installed my DRO Used it very little, but found I may have been doing a no, no Cleaning my mill with compressed air, unfortunately it seems the scale pick up may have gotten some dirt on it Have you got a video showing how to clean it

Check this ic if there some chip on it's leg, i think in this video process of dissasembling is shown.

Hy i take them on ebay 10pc for one dollar free shipping, but i think also other stores got this chip.

I just think there's little chance to die trimmer or resistor, it could be a capacitor but after years not now... So i risk a dollar and order chips 😉
How difficult would it be to shorten the armored cables?

That would be an easy peasy job, pull the cable out of armor and cut cable and armor for same leinght, put it back, and then strip cables, solder...
Great information, but it would be much more useful if you didn't speed through the disassembly of the reader head. We can't see how it's done.

Thanks, it's no big deal there are just 2 screw for cover and another two for pcb... If i show that kind of details video become too long and vievers didn't like that 😉

Poglej na banggood readout ter nekaj letev imajo na zalogi v češkem skladišču, prejmeš v kakem tednu, iz kitajske pa 2-3 tedne, tudi če naročiš iz kitajske (eu priority line poštnina) pride paket iz nizozemske tak da ni nobene carine ali davka, se pa nakup vsekakor splača zadeva je super, imaš tudi lcd ekrane v kolikor ti bolj paše.

If you got problem with keybord it should be buttons, but hard do find membranes one that fit, find an electronic and they will replace them with small black buttons...
