    I'm Filipino and I've been working here in Saudi Arabia for the last 18 years. You can say that I am just one of the many silent observers seeing and experiencing all these changes taking place. I love this country no matter what even if they kick me out! Saudi Arabia will always have a special place in my heart! ❤️

    @SADDAM042679 I'm going next month. What do you mean 😕 that they will treat foreigners even worse aye? Well anyways, I'm going next month. I have enough frequent flyer Mike's that your sweetheart can come. Not you Saddam, the lovely girl. Hahaha. I will pay for flight and room. Which you'll have your own room. Yeah I'm not a weirdo like that, that we gotta share beds. Hahaha. But everything else is paid by you. So your dinners and any extra stuff you want to buy. But that doesn't mean that we can't eat together. I'm going with my family if that makes you feel any better. We are full blown American's with Hispanic roots. So what you say senorita? Round trip and free lodging. And you don't have to chill with me and my family. You can do whatever. See, us American's can show great hospitality as well and expect nothing in return except a smile 😃 😊

We have a mixed culture with Malays who are Muslim, Chinese who are mostly Christians and a small % of Indian and Sikh ppl. We all get along and respect one another. All Europeans have come together and have made a powerful Union without saying "oh, you're a catholic, you're a protestant, you're a French or you're a German", but we muslims are still fighting over our minor differences. I can only imagine how it feels to be able to have the ability to drive, it truly accesses a ton of things for these women. You can tell that she's excited and she's doing a bunch of new things like yoga etc, going to dope restaurants with her friends, including peter and showing him around and what the culture is really about. You only ever hear the bad when it comes from the middle east and our media and this video alone paints a completely different picture.

Look at any saudi arabian video, you will barely see a guy wearing shorts or exposing his muscles, the EXTENT of covering is what's different, And you can see this everywhere in the world, just in reverse, For example Watch lets say an american or a french or an italian vlog, You notice men wearing long jeans, a shirt, meanwhile look at women, They wear short skirts, revealing some part of their breast, Literally the same thing as in muslim countries, male-female clothing differences just in REVERSE

    Really! Do women live their lives according to "their choices?" What about a Saudi woman who wants to travel abroad? Wouldn't she need to ask for permission from a male member of her family before she is permitted to travel abroad; even if the only living male family member is her 11 year-old brother who might even be mentally retarded? Is this still "her choice" or is it legally required before she is issued a permit to travel abroad?

  • @azarabian2512

    @azarabian2512

    5 ай бұрын

    I will explain to you the situation of Saudi society: Before the discovery of huge quantities of oil, Saudi Arabia was a very backward, tribal desert Bedouin society, very religious in an extremist way. Saudi Arabia built an absolute monarchy on the union of religion and politics. Saudi Arabia produced between 12 and 10 million barrels per day when oil rose in the seventies. The country began to be reconstructed and developed quickly, and the nomadic Bedouins were settled and the state, which was mostly desert, was built literally from scratch. King Faisal tried to develop the country and open it up, but he was assassinated in 1975 by a prince who had killed his brother in a demonstration against the opening of the television station... after four years in 1975. 79 The Islamic Revolution occurred in Iran, and in the same year the Grand Mosque in Mecca was occupied. For fear of a repeat of the overthrow of the Shah in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi government implemented a very strict religion. The clerics wanted everything literally forbidden and life like the ancestors a thousand years ago, so extremist Islamic movements spread in the country, the region, and the world. Bin Laden appeared, who blew up the World Trade Towers in New York with two planes in 2001. There were bombings and terrorism, and Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and other extremist terrorist Islamic organizations appeared. The government decided to eliminate them in 2005. After the rise in oil prices, Saudi Arabia sent hundreds of thousands of students sent to the West to the best universities. As millions studied in local universities, it restricted extremists and restricted their freedom of expression. The Internet and science spread easily, and society began to open up and change rapidly after 2017, and religiosity became weaker. The reforms under Bin Salman’s era were a success for the government’s plans, despite the opposition of some, but the majority of young people, especially Women agree and demand greater freedoms and rights. We have reduced extremism and extremism, and we fight it every day. We have a 2030 plan to diversify the economy away from oil, and we must succeed. We want to maintain the standard of living, including openness, more flexible laws, and a more interactive, loving society.

    You really have to have been in Saudi Arabia before to appreciate the enormous changes the Kingdom has undergone. I lived and worked in Jeddah for 6 years in the 90s. Forget being driven around by a Saudi woman, I had been there almost 4 years before meeting a Saudi woman! Unlike most Westerners I wasn't there for the money, I was there to learn about the society, culture, to discover what it was really like. I didn't live on a compound like other Westerners, I rented an apartment and really integrated with locals. I had many Saudi friends, eventually and with great difficulty and risk, some Saudi female friends. I need only say that those days were some of the best times of my life. I am so happy to see all these positive changes and I send all my good wishes to the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
