Camden is a city in and the county seat of Ouachita County in the south-central part of the U.S. state of Arkansas. The city is located about 100 miles south of Little Rock. Situated on bluffs overlooking the Ouachita River, the city developed because of the river. The recorded history began in 1782 when a Spanish military post was established on the site of an old French trading post called Écore à Fabri. When Ouachita County was formed in 1842, American settlers changed the name to Camden. The city became an important port during the steamboat era when Camden became known as the “Queen City” of the Ouachita. In 1864, Camden became the unintended focus of the Red River Campaign, a major Civil War effort resulting in several significant battles.[2]
In 2000, Camden had a population of 13,154, but it lost 7.4 percent of its residents and recorded 12,183 in 2010.[3] Camden is the principal city of the Camden Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Ouachita and Calhoun counties.

My home town. He was all over the place lololol. Adams was the spot back in the day. Harmony grove graduate class of 91. Lost a lot people when international paper plant left.

I’ve lived in Camden AR for years and most everything there is old or rundown not much of a tourist attraction but TJs is pretty good

I grew up in Camden too and you are right I was there less than 6 months ago in this place has just been run completely down. It's really sad it was a pretty good place to grow up in.

Ha you think camden beautiful appears you never been there. Lived in the Camden area for the last 16 years nothing beautiful about it unless you like falling in building and years ful of junk and the rudest people I have ever met

I lived in Jonesboro almost 11 years....spent one of the years in Searcy. Really loved how flat AR was for skateboarding and bicycle riding. My town is very hilly and I am not that tough. I loved Arkansas. Nice place

Camden needs a better infrastructures wider sidewalks a little tender love it the last town in the south part of the state that never got i due justice for all it could serve a good little hub if those fair minded alumni come back and set up two good world thriving businesses for it people it a good sport in Arkansas the politicians needs to roll up their sleeves and go to work for Camden to make it a beautiful sweet queen and still keep that good moral love going C A M D E N A R kaN Sas we home when everybody home they show Lots of Love and Respect make Little Rock politicians do right by Camden ouachita Arkansas
Beautiful video. It positively reveals plain landscape, sparse but nice vegetation and peaceful scenery. Where does the Lockheed-Martin assembly plant reside? Did you drive in a proximity to it?

Actually Lockheed-Martin is in East Camden so it is 5 miles from Camden

I’m offend by your comment. I grow up here in the Fairview Area and relocated back after years away because my parents are older and needs assistance. I’m a healthcare worker at Ouachita County Medical Center. I want to apologize to you for whatever occurred or whomever made you experience an ugly event. Please forgive Camden citizens?
