Driving To Alaska | The Ultimate Solo Winter Road Trip

The Alaska Highway is the longest remote highway in North America, let's drive it in the truck house. We'll be crossing the Canada / US Alaska border and driving all the way back to my cabin in Alaska.

Man I have really enjoyed this trip a lot. I watch everynight with dinner while smoking a J. I live in the Pisgah National Forest in Western North Carolina. Always wanted to do a trip like this. I have a travel trailer, but looking to switch up to a truck camper this spring. Really inspiring and artistic channel. Thanks Timmy.

Hey Truthseeker! Grew up spending Summer's in a small town, Highlands, N.C. & used to go to Toxaway Falls (Which I can't get to anymore as area is developed with Country Clubs etc in that area but it is so beautiful where I live. We came from South Florida so it was a big change. Anyways, we went RVing during Vivid & it was super cool. The only thing it would be much better in a truck getting better mileage as it does get expensive. Never made it to Alaska - it's on our bucket list still. The younger I go the better. Whatever u decide to do, it is well worth it & enjoyable. The one thing I wish I had documented the trip on KZread. Take it easy! 😊😊😊😊

Get an Espar coolant heater for those cold starts with no where to plug in. Plumbs into your coolant lines and pushes hot coolant through your system for up to 120 minutes, you can schedule auto starts to come on at whatever time you want so you wake up to a warm truck. Uses diesel from your tank to run

"Why would we choose to live on top of each other when we could live in our own space?" Mostly, government policies that encourage densely populated urban centers and suburban sprawl, because it's easier to control humans when they are under stress and alienated from each other.

Fantasitc. Thanks for taking us along. I drove the ALCAN (Los Angeles, CA to Fairbanks/Denali and back a little over 40 years ago. At the time, most of the ALCAN was stone and it was May/June. Although your route was different (close enough) doing it in the winter and alone is a whole different thing. At the time (still hard to belive), Canadian Customs/MP strongly encouraged bringing a rifle on the ALCAN. How times have changed. We had to show them our route, count our money and completely unload our truck to show them we were prepared. My buddy bought an almost new Toyota 4WD for the trip. I bought all of the supplies, including anything we could possibly think of - tires, gas cans, alternator, voltage regluator, battery, headlights, etc. We had just enough room for one of us to sleep in the bed under the cap, the other slept in the cab. Great memories. I used Google Maps to follow along your trip. Really fun! When I drove the ALCAN, there were several sections that had 75-150 (IIRR) miles between gas stations/villages. I think the villages were really "outposts" setup to maintain the highway. Glad you made it home and hope you have a wonderful 2023. Thanks again.

Wow...brought back so many memories of MY epic trip from So. Cal. to Alaska waaay back in 1979! My good ol' Jeep J-10 4x4 truck with just a camper shell and one of my buddies along with me! It was in Sept. though so the weather was a bit nicer! 😄 Went all the way up to Circle and then down to Kenai Peninsula. Returned home on the Cassiar Hwy. which at that time was even worse than the Alcan Hwy! Just over a month and almost 9k miles total! Gotta find the slides of our trip (yeah, long before digital cameras!). Great video, great adventure! Thanks for sharing that...
