DRIVING THOUSANDS OF KILOMETRES IN HOPE OF FINDING GOLD!
Welcome to the 2024 Gold Prospecting trip to Remote Western Australia. We travelled 3,400 kilometers from Victoria to Western Australia in the hope we will find some gold. At a minimum enough to pay for the very expensive trip just to get there but ideally we can get make it into profit town! This is 1 of many episodes from WA this year, please enjoy. Also ... try detecting at night because the ground can become much quieter ..... give it a try. Plus there's no flys.
I can’t wait to see what other days bring.

Thanks man, it was a great trip WA always is. It's good to get out and prospect different ground around Australia. Nah mate that doesn't worry me if anything did it would have a pick swinging wildly at it🤣
Every detector can find gold ... but if your in an area like Kalgoorlie you need a machine that can handle the really heavy minerals in the soil. 2300 / 5000 / 6000 / 7000 were used and the 6000 was def the winner. The other machines found between 14-35 nuggets each ... but the 6000 found 195x nuggets. Same area, same ground and in some cases the same hole .... 6000 kicked butt ;) if you don't have one ... hire one.
Nice going Lee. Great when you don’t have to move too far for the next nugget. Well done mate 😁👍

Thanks mate, oh yeah I'm very happy with them that's for sure. They are a quality build and definitely do the job👌
Intriguing, Lee, the bug of the Golden West bug has bitten! Without giving too much away, a whereabouts of sorts? We'd read some time ago, James Doughty, "Gold In The Blood", 1978, a family's hard times fossicking for gold about the badlands from up Nullagine, Wiluna and Meekathara, bloody interesting stories. I'd seen one online for sale in SA, had we known you were going through we'd have suggested, maybe on the way back, as no e-book version. Any local knowledge is held close and tight, unless you know people who know these people! Best of luck, safety first. Second, see first. Ross Faulkner size nugget, I think that's the right WA "Native Brand". It'd be flat, guess you'd expect so, but you never know. 🤞
@SavageProspecting

It certainly has! It breaks up the Prospecting nicely for the year as 95% of my Prospecting is done in Victoria. There's definitely some interesting stories of times past, it would have been a very different experience Prospecting in those remote areas back in the day.

Hi Lee and Neil, We missed you by about a week. We are heading back out tomorrow for around 12 days but there has been a lot of rain in the area. We will not get to see episode 2 until we get back but I am sure it has some great nuggies. We love that country.

Awesome stuff would love to plan a trip over there don’t even know where to start is it like vic can you detect certain areas freely or do you need to pick out an area and get a permit
@SavageProspecting
22 күн бұрын
Thanks Kenny, you should definitely do it. You just get your miners right and you can legally hit Pending ground (trilobite shows all pending and live leases) but you can also do 40e's or get written permission from lease holders and mining companies to prospect on their ground.
Looks like someone beat you to most of the big ones if there are scrapes around… they possibly pushed deep on a creek bed or two which means any of the larger nuggets still there will be just out of reach unless you go with a huge coil that punches feet deep…. So far looks like they missed plenty of nice nuggets here’s hoping you find a ounce nugget or two that start as just a whisper. Thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼

The history of the place is big nuggets and plentiful in spots. It has been pushed I think a few times now and will probably be done again lol. Cheers mate.
Nice Lee, beautiful red dirt, love it. Yesterday my missus and I found a new virgin area in isolated deep rainforest, absolutely stunning, would have been great even without gold. I also use the avantree speakers. Hope you guys really clean up over there, Cheers lads
