    Time will tell if the US farmers take to the MAN engine and the Fendt Price since they dont seem shy to say they do cost more . And since the Traton Group has now taken the International truck brand over i know for a face they that the MAN engines will show up in international trucks now . To be honest i will not miss the challenger brand when its totally gone . I just wished Fendt would have given us the new cab updates that the smaller 700 series now have the color screens are much nicer .

    It'll be interesting to see how they're accepted over the next couple years. The sales guys at Ziegler are saying pricing on new they can be pretty competitive even though you got a lot more warranty and a maintenance program built in. It's on the trade-in value that they are getting murdered right now. The competition can offer a lot higher trade-in when sticking with the same color. With the history of the John Deere engines lately and the Iveco engines I don't put up with much flak from red and green guy's about questioning a man engine.

    If anybody should know how to built a good Diesel engine, it should be MAN. The company has quite a long history for building big Diesel engines. It has roots back to the danish company Burmeister & Wain (B&W) from 1843. It’s quite an interesting company history that is worth reading up on if you like industrial history.

    case doesnt have 670 hp yet, this engine in other applications is over 800 hp. if this is like other fendt tractors we are seeing a huge fuel per acre advantage with Fendt. best for the job is a hard one to answer. the big advantage of the Fendt is the support and service that comes with it.

    I am about to acquire - within a few days -- 5,100 acres of farmland and become an instant know nothing farmer. If I must plow all 5,100 acres would 6 of these suffice? Or a smaller number of machines this size? (Georgia coastal loom soil.)

  • @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754

    @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754

    3 жыл бұрын

    You would think 6 of them would work? Depends on time frame you have to get it done. Same with combine, one 8800 Claas Lexion would do 5k acres if you had time, two if its a tight window but two of them combines have 14k bushel per hour of corn rate. You need massive farm site to handle that. That is a semi every 4 minutes.

    @@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 Well, the 5100 will most likely be peanuts or cotton. The peanuts are turned up and dry one or two days, then are picked up. The best cotton harvester will do 190 acres a day but you have more time than with peanuts.

    It's kind of fun when they climb in the cabin of the gold my God this is so complicated and 5 minutes later they're running it like a pro. it's also fun to tell him that the cabs are sitting in 90% of that design it's over 15 years old. Then have them remember back to their Case IH or deere what their cabs were like 15 to 20 years ago.
