Greetings, adventure enthusiasts! Join us on Day 14 of our unforgettable West Coast road trip, where we've traded the fast-paced sightseeing for a laid-back exploration of Portland. Nestled in our cozy beach bungalow, we decided to embrace a leisurely day with no set plans, savoring the spontaneity of the journey.
Our morning kicked off with a delectable breakfast at Grumpy’s in Rockaway Beach, a local gem serving mouthwatering waffles and French toast. The charming Main Street of Rockaway Beach beckoned with its boutiques and coffee shops, providing a perfect prelude to our scenic 40-minute drive to Cannon Beach. There, the dramatic landscape and iconic Haystack Rock left us in awe, with Georgia even braving the chilly Pacific waters.
Continuing our journey, we arrived in Portland, where we stumbled upon unexpected delights. Exploring the city led us to Punch Bowl, a massive 3,000+ square-foot dining and entertainment spot. Indulging in mouthwatering food, sharing a punch bowl cocktail, and engaging in a competitive Connect 4 session made for an unforgettable evening. As the day wound down, we strolled back to our hotel, anticipating a relaxed night before our last full day in the States.
