Actually I took an ICE 4 last October from Berlin to Bamberg and when we arrived the staff explicitly pointed out that we arrived four minutes too early. I‘m still impressed that all trains were punctual on this journey.

How weird would be if you were on a train and saw the conductor get out and start sprinting around in circles on the tracks. 😂😂

9:13 There are some white buildings next to the bridge before that train goes into the tunnel. I worked in one of those two on the right side. Actually, they look like apartment buildings in the game and not like freight depots. 9:46 On the left side, before the tunnel, there's a path that brings you as close to the tracks as possible. I was there several times and watched the trains going by. It's even possible to walk in the tunnel... but I'd never do that.

I have heard they are building a few high speed railways.

Driving one of the fastest trains in Train Sim World 3 was an exhilarating experience! 🚄💨 The feeling of power and speed as you zoom down the tracks is unmatched. I could feel my heart racing with every twist and turn!

I used to get happy watching people perform action packed jobs that would leave me wanting to have those jobs as a kid, now as an adult I'm sitting here wishing all I was in life was a simple train conductor man..

I threw some Eurobeat over it while watching. What an absolute journey, great video!

i like how this dude does not even care that he is going over 120+ km/h over the speed limit

*I live in Germany and I love driving with ICE it's so quiet and peaceful when you sit in in the train no judder just like on ice until you hit the wall at 350+ km/h*

I play the game a lot and really enjoy it. That said, some route DLCs are better than others. Tees Valley (set in the 80s with the BR 101 diesel loco) and the Brighton to Lewes / Seaford routes are my personal favourites.

Certified Max Speed of the ICE 3 is 320 kph. Most tracks are however not certified for that speed so the train usually has to go slower.

Depends on the game mode: • Scenarios: preset missions you are likely referring to. • Timetable: a semi-free roam where you drive a train based on the route's timetable. Mostly normal driving.

Well, its an arcade game not a simulator. In real life you would not be able to go over 10/15kmh of the actual speed limit

In real life, you drive with a bunch of safety systems running on the train to prevent you going over the speed limit in high speed sections. Its actually simulated in the game, but obviously in this video its turned off. if you want more info look up LZB signalling. iirc, when you arent in the highspeed sections then you have a lot more control over how fast you go: if you want you could certainly speed without safety systems kicking in. BUT in these sections, you usually have warning when the speed limit is going to drop, which DOES trigger safety systems if you dont slow down. For instance, if you had a current speed limit of 100kph and it will drop to 60, a warning will be made before the limit drop, and you must slow the train otherwise the emergency brakes will come on.
