I did a 12 hour road trip in 02 Mustang GT with longheaders and an X pipe not cats about 7 years ago... The drone was out of this world... 1/4 trip we had to stop and buy ear plugs... It wasn't all that bad in the comfort zone though. I would definately do it again ! HAHA ! :)

Good video! I own a 5 speed 96 Gt and it’s a blast. I’m 17 and learned how to drive stick in it as well! With these Cali gas prices driving can get expensive but by all means these cars are awesome. Good video🤟

For reference on how easy it is to learn how to drive stick in this car. In a 96 GT 1st gear if you need it to will get you to highway speeds and 2nd to insterstate speeds, I have taken off in 4th gear (not recommended). The problems is that this car is known for having a long clutch, and as it is a pony/sports car the gears are really close together, I you can handle that though the car is a really good one to learn how to drive manual in as it is really forgiving.

Wow I really enjoyed your video! I inherited a 2003 Mustang GT with some modifications. It had been 38 years since I had driven a manual, but drove it home 12 hours away. It was surprisingly so easy to Handel! Not sure which gas to put in it, but it has driven fine for me the past year. I have a few minor problems to fix like the window and mirror housing and switch along with a slow leak in the A/C line. I’m also thinking about replacing the front bumper and fog lights. I’m so thankful for it and I just take it out for a cruise one or twice a week. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I had a '96 GT 5-speed and really liked it. Only real mechanical problem I had was the intake manifold cracking. I cranked down on it one time and was suddenly in a cloud. First I thought it might be from fire but turned out to be steam from the manifold break. I miss the 'Stang but recently bought a 2011 Crown Vic P7B in cherry condition. Quite a bit larger than the Mustang but same good power and handling.

I currently daily a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL. Cool cars. You never see them around, but I’m just itching for a new edge Mustang GT as my new daily (my weekend car is a 2022 C8 Corvette lol). I’ve always been a Mustang guy at heart. My first car ever was a 2010 V6 auto, then a brand new 2016 Ecoboost auto, bought the 3000GT to learn manual on!!! traded the Ecoboost a couple of years later for a used 2016 GT *MANUAL* which I eventually traded in for my new C8 corvette. Now a daily the 3000GT, but want another Mustang GT badly and the new edge is so tempting! Need another V8 stick shift Stang in my life

My brother, friend and I all had 2000 mustang GT's (had, i sold mine sadly but hope to get another soon) and we went to visit a friend in Albuquerque, NM from the DFW TX area, it was about a 7-8 hour drive to our spot for the night and our cars did phenomenally, my brother and i paid 2500 bucks for ours, our friend paid slightly more, and we were all comfortable, fit our luggage fine, and really only our asses got sore and mainly me cuz i have no cushioning on my ass and my seats were shit lol but i had 3.73's and the other two were stock 3.27's, all 5-speeds, i got 22-23 mpg and they got 23-24 going about 85-90 the whole way (with passing, winds, and other messing around) which isnt bad when they were rated at 24-25 on the highway stock with those ratings being at 55-65 lol
