Greetings; we are going on HAL in November 2018; have been to this port many times, but have never driven in and parked....it looked too intimidating until your very helpful video...we usually stay at the HI express 17th street causeway; I think we can drive in and park now, again thanx to you and your very helpful video. Any additional advice on parking at this port will be very much appreciated. Thanks again for the great video!

Daily cost for that parking lot at Terminal 18?

It was $8.50 a day but I normally budget at least $10 for taxes and late departures.

do we need to show our passports entering the port? seems like we needed it last time

Not that I have experienced.

we are staying at a hotel the night before. is it better to get them to bring us over?

If you are driving to the hotel, simply take your own car. However if you are flying into Fort Lauderdale, taking a cab is simpler and cheaper. As long as everybody is up and ready to go, you should have ample time to get a bite to eat, check out, and be at the port well ahead of any crowd.

Cruise Aficionados well that hotel has a stay and park package so they drop us off

Ah, also a great option too, I drive down so I tend to forget the growth in park and stay. I was in the Hilton directly across 17th from the north port entrance. They have a shortage of parking there so I hadn't heard of anything they offer. When do you cruise?
