Morning drive around the small town of Santa Cruz. The city currently does not have its usual tourism traffic, and the amusement park is closed, but the surfing scene is still happening.

Santa Cruz (Spanish for 'Holy Cross') is the county seat and largest city of Santa Cruz County, California. As of 2019, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated Santa Cruz's population at 64,608.
Situated on the northern edge of Monterey Bay, about 32 mi (51 km) south of San Jose and 75 mi (120 km) south of San Francisco, the city is part of the 12-county San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland Combined Statistical Area.
Santa Cruz is known for its moderate climate, natural environment, coastline, redwood forests, alternative community lifestyles, and socially liberal leanings. It is also home to the University of California, Santa Cruz, a premier research institution and educational hub, as well as the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, an oceanfront amusement park operating continuously since 1907.
The present-day site of Santa Cruz was the location of Spanish settlement beginning in 1791, including Mission Santa Cruz and the pueblo of Branciforte. The City of Santa Cruz was incorporated in 1866 and chartered in April 1876. Important early industries included lumber, gunpowder, lime and agriculture. Late in the 19th century, Santa Cruz established itself as a beach resort community.

Aw, you took me down memory lane! I lived there in the late seventies up through the earthquake in 1989! So much has changed, so many apartment buildings now! Thank you for the drive-thru

It is my honor! Yeah I bet there must have been an influx of population, thus more apartment buildings. But Santa Cruz has that laidback beach town feel to it. I miss the city a lot.

Thank you so much for that drive! I watched it all! Grew up in Santa Cruz, moved to England for 20 years, now in Kansas city, MO. Wish I could move back to Santa Cruz, just too damn expensive now. Thanks again for the Tour!

What happened to the Cooper House ? I remember skate boarding downtown and watching the band that use to play there. The hippy dayz ! It was a great place to grow up. In the 60s there was a man that use to play the Saw in town. My folks invited him over for dinner one evening and after that he sat ant played the saw for us It was very cool. Last I remember they made a statue of him at the N. end of town. It's been a while since I been back Great surfing back in the day going up and down the coast.. Miss it Thanks for the memories. Awesome Steamers !! I use to ride my stingray bike everyday about 5 miles with a 6' twin fin under my arm with my wet suit on. When I was sixteen I worked at Malios restaurant on the wharf, what a time !

Is this a joke or is this really another "Karen".....Just shut your piehole and watch something else if you don't like it. I perfectly enjoy the ride without sound, and many others do too.
