Interstate 85 (I-85) North is a section of the Interstate Highway System that runs north-northeast from Montgomery, Alabama to Petersburg, Virginia, near Richmond. The route is 668.75 miles long and passes through five southeastern states: Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. In North Carolina, I-85 runs 231.23 miles from the South Carolina state line near Grover to the Virginia state line near Wise.
