Driving from Omaha, NE to Kansas City, MO via I29
Last night in Omaha was fun; Saw a great show, and discovered a new Gretna. But, I must keep moving on. Today we'll hit Missouri by going through Kansas City, and then move on to Kansas going through Lawrence, Topeka, and Alma before settling for the night in Salina, Kansas.
My Sony HXR-NX100 rode shotgun on a tripod shooting at 4 fps. The tripod was held in place using bungee cords giving it I nice smooth feel, even on bumpy roads. I also used this same camera to shoot various scenes around the country, and to interview folks.

Beautiful drive.. Try Kimball to Scottsbluff on 71 Denver to Glenwood springs And Halsey to Valentine My favorite road trips.
This was not a frequent drive for me, but it did remind me of making this trip. The flat plain of the Missouri valley, the bluffs in Missouri.

The bluffs ( loess hills) form St. Joseph, Mo. to Sioux City, IA. about 200 miles. Headed North on IH-29, they are a beautiful view outside your right passenger window. Sure miss seeing them every day.

I’m from Pennsylvania watching this lol I dunno why I have this weird obsession with Kansas, I wanna see a tornado. And would love to see Arizona, Utah, & Colorado. Think up north would be nice too. I’ve already been on the whole east coast a good bit & south. Not really my thing now

You ant in Kansas pilgrim, NE, IA and Mo. Drove IH 29’for years from Omaha to KC. Policed I-29 for 4 years in IA.

You went the long way. I-635 takes you to I-70 from I-29

Hey Brudda - I just knew I had to make it to Kansas City, so I just let Google tell me how to get there. Google's not always right, but they do a pretty good job most of the time. Thanks for the tip, though. If I ever make this trip again, I'll keep that in mind. ;)

If you’re going downtown, then U.S. 169 South is the best way. I-635 is great if you’re going to KCK or the Johnson County suburbs.
