Literally can't wait, I'm doing this drive on Tuesday. So excited and as a British person, I may be driving on the left too 😊

I have driven that a couple of times, it is a very different landscape. I am coming back in late April for a week in the South East.

Thanks for the video. Me and my daughter will be visiting Reykjavik May 23-28 from the states. We are reluctant to rent a car because of the driving on the left side. I thought that steering wheel would be on the right side of the car. How is parking downtown Reykjavik? That’s for your answers.

We're moving to Iceland in few years, since we had our wedding at Árbæjarsafn and we loved Iceland so much we want to move there. I know this road as back of my hand, but I'd say it's better to use Grey Line bus to get to Reykjavik, since it's cheaper and drop off points are usually pretty close to hotels (Check your map if your hotel is closer to different stop)... I'd say someone really needs to work on new better system for tourist drop points - It can be bit disorganized at times... but hey þetta reddast (It will be fine)

The best part about renting a car in Europe is you can get manual transmissions. I rented a Dacia duster in Iceland. I even got a Skoda Fabia sports edition in Austria. Too many to name. I hate how you get boring cars in the United States. Really affects road trips.

I am visiting in August. I am afraid I might get lost if I try driving from the airport to Reykjavik. I will be travelling alone. Is the GPS good enough to get you there.

I'll be there in October. I opted not to drive a rental...too much extra work. Plenty of tour buses and transport. Let me know how your trip was!

@@evagabor5 my trip was amazing. I was worried for no reason. I took a few tours initially, then hired a rental car for 2 days. Did lots of driving. Driving was really easy.

Right so I'm 3 days. I don't drive slowly, I stick to the speed limit and sometimes creep over a bit but I must have been overtaken 100 times so far. If the Icelandic government started handing out more speeding fines they could cut the tax on beer!

Haha yes but the Icelandic government loves to tax us. They would keep the speeding fines + the taxes on alcohol. Hope you’re having a good time. 🙂
