Wow thank you for sharing. It looks just like the more expensive parts of an Australian city except for the big walls and security, which is a noticeable difference. The area around Santon reminds me of big version of Doncaster near Melbourne. It has a similar aspect being a major suburban city on a hilltop surrounded by affluent neighbourhoods, or Chatswood in Sydney's hilly northern suburbs.

14:45 I lived for two years in one these gated housings to the left as an expat from Europe. The non-working traffic lights (“robots” in SA), Toyota mini taxis and always sunny days (excpect Jan, Feb) bring back memories :)

I still live in Bryanston, in a huge apartment that would cost a fortune overseas. The food is good, the people are lovely, and the weather is stunning. And I have never really had an issue with crime, although one has to be vigilant

Nice drive. South Africa is like two countires in one - a lush, leafy first-world country in the suburbs, and a third-world ghetto in the townships.

Which townships are you referring to? Because Soweto looks way better than most suburbs

All countries have beautiful parts and parts that look like a war zone. Don't get it twisted.
