Lakewood Ranch is very nice…a beautiful enormous master planned community. But, if you’re smart you’ll get insurance quotes first…homeowners insurance anywhere on the gulf coast (Sarasota, Fort Myers’s, NAPLES) starts at about 5K per year and goes up EVERY RENEWAL! Best to enjoy the beach at an Airbnb and buy in the MIDDLE of the state…out of the hurricane zone. Stay away from the coastal areas where property takes and homeowners insurance will kill you. Check the Florida Wind Zone Map and steer clear unless you don’t mind facing insane insurance rates - and the risk of NOT getting insurance. Do your homework before buying near the coast.

This video came at a perfect time for me. I am planning to visit Lakewood Ranch in a few weeks to explore the area for a potential move in 2025. I am interested in new construction and plan on renting in the area upon first arriving. I don't want to immediately jump into a home and mortgage until I have done enough research, and would also want to be living in the area already as the home is being built. Hopefully Katie can recommend apartments and points of interest for new construction. I will reach out in a couple of weeks. Hope to be in town sometime in May to explore

Before you buy get quotes on insurance if you find a home you’re interested in. I currently pay 4600.00 per year - up from 1400 just 3 years ago….and I do NOT live in Coastal Florida nor a flood zone and have never made a claim in the 23 years I’ve owned my home. It’s crazy! Do your homework first before signing an offer to buy.

only one small cow field left now.. going soon for sure. Its a pretty area, thats why people wanna live here. Naples used to be tomato fields and nurseries, all new homes as well today.

If you don't like Florida move to N.Y. All you do is drive around and look for the worst areas to film. N.Y has good pizza i know you 2 like to eat.

i think what bothers you is that were being sucessful. envy, sad. you know whose fault it is??? YOURS... instead of saying something nice on a vidoe LIKE THIS, you want to click on all the bad stuff.. just look at YOUR comment as an example. You dont pay my bills. I go to NYC whenever i feel like it, and i live in the best cities possible.
