Thanks for the tour. My father was born (1934) and raised in Digby and migrated to Whitehorse Yukon in 1954 where he married and raised 6 children. His name is Wayne McKenna (passed away in 2017), son of Irving. I always wanted to someday visit the town my father was born. To any long lost relatives here's a big hello from Dick. Thanks again for the tour. ✌️😊

Ahhh I felt so relaxed feeling like I was driving by the Oceanside, smelling the fresh air, enjoying the small town scenery and historic buildings. Next stop, Digby scallop dinner!

Where did you end up moving and how’s it going? Lol I’ve lived in NS twice. And NB for a stint. And NL hahaha. Love the maritimes!

@@GuidedWithLight Wow, that's awesome! Which maritime province did you like the best? We ended up moving just outside of New Glasgow. We really like it here! The town has everything we need and we have a big yard now. Its going great:) and we are hoping to do more exploring this summer now that we are settled in. Do you live in the maritimes currently?

@@BetchinBullet I liked NS the best. But St. John’s, NL is stunning!! I lived in Stellarton, just outside of NS as well. The housing prices there are very reasonable. And I am guessing you have visited Pictou by now. Best pizza in NS btw, is said to be in your area. Acropole pizza. They have a sauce that is unique and known in NS. They have a few locations but the best of their slice is at the Westville location. And from your video I recall you liked beaches (well who doesn’t?) lol. Lovely beach near you called Melmerby Beach!

@@BetchinBullet I moved to Ottawa for a contract job but I’m hoping to get into the Ecommerce biz in some way so I can move back. Not sure where yet but maybe the eastern passage. I miss it already! I am so glad you guys are settling in well and are happy.

Born and raised in Digby until I moved away at age 11. The house with the green shutters at 2:19 was one of the last houses I lived in. Unfortunately, the last house I lived in was torn down and it used to be located on the corner where there is no house to the left behind the two big trees at 1:37 where the sign is. The house to the right at the intersection at 5:34 was the first house I remember living in when I was a kid. Fun trip down memory lane Steve! 😎👍 Cheers, John ;)

@@SJ-gc8mw Hey S J, that's so cool! My bedroom was a hard right from the top of the stairs if I remember correctly...that was almost 50 years ago! Cheers, John ;)

@@funafter5081 Yes, there were 3 bedrooms upstairs with 1 bathroom. Your bedroom sounds like mine. A hard right and it had a Captain's bed already in the room. I lived there from 1976-79. Back when they had the Little Cinema at the end of Water Street. I saw Star Wars, KIng Kong etc. and then it burned down and that was it for movies in Digby. I loved the Black Cherry trees in the back yard. Lots of great memories in Digby!! When you could golf at the Pines as a junior for $60 a season. Yes....season.

@@SJ-gc8mw Yes...Captain's Bed! I should have mentioned that. Wow, it was still there...cool! I remember the cinema burning down too. You must have moved in right after we moved out. My aunt died and left us a house on the corner of Montague Row and Mount street. It was her B&B and was called the Corner House right across from the Baptist Church. That's where we moved to after we left the house we are talking about. Apparently it burned down and is no longer there 😢. It was a big house with lots of woodwork in the architecture of the house similar to the house we both lived in. My parents bought me a membership for the Pines too! Haha...fun stuff S J!!! 😎👍
