Driving a ground rod with a rotary hammer drill!

Ойын-сауық

Bosch 18-Volt 1-9/16” SDS Max Rotary Hammer Drill really helps drive ground rods with its 5.2 ft.-lbs. of impact energy! It packs a punch! Check it out at Lowe’s. #lowespropartner #LowesxBosch

He didn’t try hard enough🤣 I am a Milwaukee guy myself to the core but I’ve used this bad boy and it drives the ground rods faster than a SDS Max. and I have the 8.0a battery. Also this thing thing cost a couple hundred more so I had to stick to Milwaukee 🤣

For SDS max, I would expect it to hit a little harder but those ground roads are pretty hard to drive in sometimes

I used a pvc pipe with the ground rod inside. Attaced a garden hose to the top of the pipe. The water booared the hole as the ground rod went in.

One time somebody backfilled badly and got rid of the marks after we installed a sewer line, then the sparkles came in. Drove it right through the brand new main lol. They were really apologetic and it wasn’t even their fault. They bought our crew a round at the bar after work and it was all good. Fixed it in less than a day.

Too small of a hammer for this. We usually use the biggest corded demo hammer we have available. In dry rocky soil it takes a 60 pound demohammer to get it to move.

Bosch, Hitachi(Metabo) and Makita make the best tools for concrete/brick/stone work. I have many years of experience in all trade fields and worked with all tools and thats what Ive seen. Milwaukee doesnt come close to woodworking tools with DeWault and hard surface tools with Bosch. P.s. this is coming from a Milwaukee fiend.
