Well gotta say v8s are a dime a dozen and don't belong in a big Healey. The sound of the straight 6 with dual down draft carburators hitting the gas hard is like no other car I've heard. And, they perform really well for 1963, pull hard and if you trust knock off wheels will propel you well past 100mph. White trash Healy video

I built mine from the ground up; 283 with normally asperated drilled 2 barrel Rochester, polished and ported, de-stroked shaved & decked, light flywheel, 3/4 Crane cam. I wound up with a std. 3 speed and a narrowed 353 Chev rear axle, std suspension beefed up and with helpers on the rear springs. Car tracked flat and had a top end northof 140. I'm still alive.

I don't generally care for these sort of V8 conversions, but this seems like a nice car. Hope you improved the brakes.

It's a converted BT7 (four seater), so not nearly as rare.
