Super cool having the drivers be able to talk to each other. Reminiscent of the tandem draft days at Daytona when drivers were dialing each other up and talking strategy. Course NASCAR took that away.

Kev Mon just so you know jr is one of the main people to help make iracing what it is now being the middleman for nascar and the teams and has always raced it and been a avid spokesperson. JR and Timmy would be at the front all day

@@kevmon4273 He's been one of the most visible NASCAR supporters of iRacing since its inception. In fact, I think he may have invested some money in it early on. If not, he's been a big promoter of (and occasional racer on) the sim for years now.

The fact that nearly a million of us tuned in to watch people play a video game live on television tells you how much we love this sport. IJS

BOYNE Driver-to-driver communication is possible on iRacing, you don’t have to use another application like Discord.

Imagine if they could talk to each other during a real life race

Anthony Alfredo sounds like the guy who's always complaining in the Call of Duty lobby about his teammates.

I can't wait to hear/see Dale Jr's break down of the race and review on here. And yes, I was surprised it was that entertaining also.

Every year you naturally lose fans who just don't pick it up again the following season. iracing during the off season would not only slow that but also attract some new fans to the regular season who otherwise wouldn't have watched at all. It's a smart idea.

i love that your could hear danny's kids at home excited. what a feeling to be with family like that!

A big thank you to everyone that made this happen ! I'm looking forward to seeing more in weeks to come. You guys are amazing !

It would be great to listen too that live through the scanner in the NASCAR app while watching the race

I cant wait for the next race! Seriously, this was very entertaining and that finish was a lot of fun! Imagine if these guys had more practice and iRacing continued advancing the game specifically for televised events. Fox did a good job too with the coverage. It felt like a real race. It was also cool to see old drivers in there. More please!

I watched this on Sunday just to see something new instead of old race (and other sports) reruns. I couldn't believe how much fun it was! It would be REALLY fun if they could manage to get this driver audio on the TV broadcast as well.

Thanks Dirty Mo, that was entertaining to watch and listen 2. I enjoyed the race Sunday and it brought back old memories of sim racing.

This is EASILY the most fun I've had watching a NASCAR race in years. It's awesome to see these guys put aside the negative stuff going around and just enjoy racing each other and hearing Mike and Jeff commentate this like it was a normal race was super cool. Hats off to everyone involved for putting on an awesome show!

That was fun to watch. Love seeing and hearing the drivers more relaxed and vocal, not having to worry about NASCAR listening in.

I had so much fun watching this on Sunday! I hope they do more races.

@@nathanielhiggerson7679 No, it's because he's never used the simulator before. Lacking the feel of being in a real car would be like taking away the force feedback for someone who exclusively does sim racing, it deprives you of important information about what the car is doing.

As someone who has taken the oval side of racing on iRacing.com very seriously a few times over recent years -- seeing this on Fox Sports was awesome to see. Spent a lot of hours on this sim, in these cars. Haven't raced on there in a few months but this got me renewing my sub. Good on NASCAR for thinking outside of the box in these strange times we're living in right now.

This is AMAZING!!! Great job Dirty Mo! My favorite was the Bubba comment about Bowman. Too soon? Probably. But still funny... and classic Bubba. He doesn’t care what you think, he’s going to say what comes to his mind

This is what we have every race, whether we are racing Cup, Xfinity or Gander, doesn't matter. Thanks for sharing, Dale!

I think they need to make a "Legends" race. Bring in retired guys like Michael Waltrip, Richard Petty, Mark Martin, etc. and race them with some of the current guys.
