forgot how good this film was.if youve never shot grouse before you really get a false idea how fast these birds are. on top of you from 300yds to nothing in seconds.. if you want to have a go save up n have a go, dont get to being an old man to old to do it and wish you had .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good film. Do the shooters divide the birds up equally?

Those shooting get to take home as many birds as they wish but most go to game dealers and are sold to restaurants etc.

What guns was he using? Looked like a clay/tray gun due to the high rib?

I think they were Krieghoff K-80s, definitely not traditional guns, they are mainly built for clays but they seemed to work for him!

Might be worth reading up about the Hen Harrier Recovery Plan that’s been driven by gamekeepers. 2023 marks the 3rd consecutive year in which we’ve had record numbers fledged. What is everyone else doing to increase numbers? Do you know how satellite tags work, today we’ve seen another bird marked as ‘lost over a grouse moor’. That’s the 3rd time this specific bird has been marked as lost haha.

There paying we are getting paid, I get where your coming from ,,, in this life dont expect too much and you wont be disappointed ,,,,, I shoot on driven days my picking up money helps to fund it, I always try to thank the beaters at the end of the day but its not always possible.

I see no logical or aesthetic reason for using ugly over and under 12 bore shotguns at driven grouse. Just plain clumsy.
