Holy crap I thought that might have been camera / post process magic. Props for actually doing it.

I love this series as it is stellar flying and camera work. But, every time I see the word “hack” my eye twitches a little. 😂 “Today’s hack. Plan your shot. And keep trying until you nail it.” This project is incredible. I always look forward to a new Johnny Vid.

I have done this with a smaller drone through my car standing still. With even the slightest side wind it was very difficult to get it right (over or under compensating for the lack of wind while passing through the car). I can not imagine how hard this was to pull off with all the turbulence inside the moving car and what not!

@Johnny FPV Huge fan! Your work is SO freakin awesome! Would you mind sharing your GoPro Hero 9 firmware version? I have a lot of trouble with mine because of the vertical line problem and the labs firmware is a bit behind the latest official version.

I'm basically set up next to a major road just trying to fly through any passing cars open windows now.

Hi Johnny, I noticed that you use 5" drone with X frame. What about "Dead cat" frame, isn't it better for gopro cinematic footage (because of the space)? Or it limits the drone's maneuverability, and you choose the X frame on purpose?

Relatively the drone was moving slowly so probably not much damage

I once tried to fly with gloves on in the cold and it honestly felt like I was holding a Playstation controller... All the accuracy was gone...

@@bludawg8588 Oh snap, you are totally correct. I was expecting to see the Johnny QAV-S frame and was surprised he isn't running his new frame designed for the air unit. The astro x is also a really sweet looking frame, first time i've seen one built up before. I guess there are a bunch of frames that look similar to the apex and this one came before the apex craze.

your nd filter ruined the stabilization on that shot. you should do your motion blur in post. who's the vfx supervisor on this show? they need a good talking to
