Alpine didn't have a contract for Oscar thus Oscar had to jump around and ask for one. McLaren gave him one on the pretext that he didn't receive one from his primary team sponsor, Alpine. Then Otmar admitted behind closed doors that Alpine didn't plan ahead to offer Oscar a contract but played the loyalty card and reported it out like it was a god damn "sure deal" type of thing and yet complained about it that Zak poached his men when there's no black and white even being signed with Alpine and Oscar to have him drive for them in their machine. It's all a god damn farce and major fuckup on Alpine's side but they're not taking the blame.

Agree. Re Ric in the end it was his point contribution that ended it. Re Alpine, They lost 2 very good drivers by them leaving. That was their choice not by circumstance.

Agreed. Apparently the Red Bull engineers felt that Ricciardo was not very good at giving detailed feedback on a car. People think that a drivers job is just to race, that's only half of it. The best drivers understand what's wrong and have the cars built around them. When the difference between front & mid field is only a fraction of a second in pace, this stuff matters.

@@alexanderg1935 Adrian Newey disagrees with you. There are a lot of interviews that he gave where he said Daniel was really detailed with everything about the cars and that he was one of the best when it came to feedback, similar to Max. So I know its popular shitting on Daniel but you should check your facts.
Zak who?
This guy is so overrated, end of this season nobody want give him a cockpit!!!
