They prolly tried to replace it at dealer . I’m going in my 3rd differential through warranty and the thud keeps coming back I bet they didn’t even bother clean it up and put adhesive like they should these techs are really not that great im the dealerships and when I talk to them they don’t even own bmw or daily drive one . Its just a job to them

Yep was going to do this myself but instead I will pay a shop 😂 would have to do it on jackstands as well haha

Yes sir! The clunk is gone running smoothly and quiet as I installed the Bolt Saver bushing at the same time.

That is such a weird, difficult design to work with! Why, BMW, why...
