Spektrum's FHSS technology is made for RTRs and other budget uses. it is not fair to state that as their "mainline" technology for comparison. Yes, spektrum is expensive, but their flagship DSMR tech is very high quality. Just wanted to point that out. All of these proprietary hobby companies of course will be more expensive and closed off compared to open source projects like ELRS and edgeTX, but there's certainly something you are paying for that makes those worth it to some people. With all that said. I am very happy that RM made it into the surface arena, and am interested in trying one myself.

You’ll like it. I also see the wheel is tension adjustable. We’re not saying that is their mainline. I was telling a friend that there are more likely still more DSM receivers out there than their alternative protocol RX’s. But people should know. Now we’re hoping EdgeTx devs will update the firmware to allow a compatible protocol for all the guys who want to bind their RTRs.

@@dronecamps Yes, that would be huge, to be able to use traxxas protocol for example like you can use frsky or flysky on the air radios.

You do great videos for the FPV community. I suck at making videos. Can you make a video explaining how to switch between max speed OUTPUT using the 3 position switch/ modes tab. For an rc car/truck?

Im using radiomaster mt12 4in1 I can't bind the RX-G3 from HSP nitro receiver can you help me sir?

I think this thing is the bomb diggity 😁 i just got one for my redcat shredder and just ordered a arrma fireteam to use it with. Got 2 receivers. ELRS version. And my betafpv super D with Gemini should plug right in 😁 i think. Still have to try 😉 great review man. Same deal as my boxer 😁

Firstly the 4in1 is using the Multi Protocol firmware which is an open source project that really has nothing to with RadioMaster. I know the devs looked at FlySky ANT protocol and they said it not supported with current 4in1 chips.

It’s not Radiomasters fault. Correct. We are hoping EdgeTx devs will help add that protocol to the next firmware update 🤞🏻ps. The more requests for it. They may respond. That would be epic.

I did a backup of a model. Where does it go? There’s not a restore option. Why?

Yeah I need to get a new radio for my axial 24 I've modded it alot now and got it running elrs Definitely considering this radio

Spektrum uses several protocols for their surface radios; DSM, DSM2, DSMR. Spektrum has one receiver that can work on 2 protocols; DSMR and SLT. I think you have that receiver that works on DSMR and SLT.

This tx is competitive with the other top brands . 4ms response time is more then enough response time unless your a computer. We race at the local carpet track every week. If it wasn’t for RadioMaster my son and I wouldn’t be competing at all. High bite carpet racing is insanely quick your tx has to be on point or you’ll never win

Thanks for that feedback. Exactly the kind of experience I was wanting to hear about. I’ve been dialing mine in for my Axial Crawler. Maybe I need to get my Losi carpet racer setup on it

Unfortunately it doesnt seem to work with all traxxas models :( i have a slash 4x4 vxl and i cant seem to get it to bind with the tqi system. Im guessing that means its not compatible :(

Yes Traxxas is proprietary to itself. But you can get elrs receivers for about $10 each.

That would be cool. Spektrum wants to be ahead of the curve. Maybe a few months and EdgeTx Devs will give us the full range of protocols.

Hi Justin, There are a couple commercial drones that I am considering, and would like your opinion in a return email if you do not mind. As a disabled vet due to injuries sustained overseas. I will be taking my 107 license this hurricane season to continue to serve Americans and residents no matter where with use of my RV, Boat and whatever drone you recommend in the return email. I plan through the local churches to load up the boat and RV with emergency supplies to hand out and I want to be able to capture both video and photos of homes in the direct path of hurricanes for those citizens that want it to assist in quicker federal funding from FEMA in addition to helping citizens with such footage to speed up the process with home insurance claims. I would like as mentioned to get footage a few days before and after the hurricane strike zones and I want to customize whatever drone you recommend with the thermo camera for search and rescue as well that as mentioned can detect heat signatures and body temperature from 1800 feet away. I know tornadoes are unpredictable therefore I could only respond to these locations after the tornados strike for search and rescue while delivering supplies as well. I am getting contacted currently by home owners currently and one major company through the church and a family member owns a local real estate company as well to assist in drone photography however I am more interested in continuing to support fellow Americans primarily as I have done all my life. I would be honored to network with you so that if you know another 107 drone pilot in the Tampa Bay area, you can maybe sub contract the drone jobs out of what not for drone operators who need to find work. Anyways Justin, as mentioned in my email, if you and your girlfriend or friends wants a vacation, I will be honored to hand you the keys to both my one bedroom RV with two queen sized beds, bathroom, shower, stove, dining area and cabinet space and my nice boat as well, both I had prior to my injuries overseas serving others leading to the injuries that caused the depression issues. But I really need your assistance in a return email on a suitable drone on which one to pick. I am looking at refurbished drones also based on my income.
