Drive A Dream Muscle Car! In 1/10-Scale. Kyosho 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28 Fazer Mk2 Review | RC Driver
There are plenty of muscle car fans out there, but many of us simply can’t afford to buy one or have the time to restore one of the classics. This holds true for Greg, his dream muscle car to own is the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, but getting one into his garage isn’t so simple. So when the opportunity popped up to review the Kyosho 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28 Fazer Mk2 FZ-02L ready to run 1/10 electric on-road RC car, he jumped right on it. Kyosho has done another amazing job adding the licensed Chevy Camro to their line of ultra scale on-road cars. The detail and styling of the body is absolutely stunning. But it doesn’t end there, they mounted the body to their well designed 4wd Fazer FZ-02L chassis which is pretty impressive for a basher style set-up. Rounding out the package is some worthy electronics that are sure to bump up the fun factor of driving this RC muscle car. Get all the details you need in our full review!

I just ordered this RC after seeing this video! Looks beautiful!!
My all time favorite car is the 1969 Camaro. Fantastic RC and fantastic video.
Thanks for the review, very beautifull body, like you said a killer body. Saving ride now to get one. Hope that they sell in europe.
It’s gonna look great on my new car hauler trailer behind the Traxxas 4. Good grief, I’m excited like a kid. It’s a good thing. Thanks for the excellent video. Cheers!
thanks for the great video. I am totally enthusiastic about Kyosho FAZER MK2 Chevy Camaro Z28 1969 And the fact that you can also install LEDs makes it even more beautiful. greetings from Germany
Kyosho makes great products, & Good info 👍 ………🏎💨
Luv the detail on that RC Camaro.
Great review as usual you go over everything so thorough, well done👍👍 Kyosho has been killing it with the bodies, I've been checking out the GTR it looks amazing also...maybe I'll go get it🤔
Got one of these from RPM and....just wow. This body looks even better live than it does in the video. Just a magnificent job on the paint! The transmitter is much more comfortable than my $300 Spektrum and the off-set steering wheel is a nice touch that actually does add to the ergonomics of the controller. I bought the GTO as well and ,,,I,,,I...(speechless). The GTO is bigger and just as beautiful. Just FYI...the Camaro is a standard 260mm wheelbase so any 1/10 on-road body should fit. The GTO is bigger...with a wheelbase of 275mm...so finding a different body for the Pontiac could be difficult.
Really a great video! Very well done!! I have one on order from a hobby shop that still has blue ones. I felt lucky to find one! I’m going to install an ESS One sound module, as I have several RC cars with it installed, and they sound awesome! Every RC truck/car I have, I upgraded to brushless (except my crawlers) but may leave this stock brushed. The reason being, I have a brushless Traxxas 4tec, and it’s a screaming handful without the included gyro stabilization. Without the gyro, it’s a squirrely mess. Running this stock is good enough for some relaxing driveway runs.
Gorgeous looking body! I like this one almost as much as the Charger and Chevelle...not to nitpick the amazing level of detail but those headlights look off. It’s like they used a lens that was too small and made up for it with the bezels. It doesn’t bother me that much but it’s worth noting.
I just received mine last week. It is amazing in person. I parked it next to my Chevelle. Amazing body details in a rtr. Nice video.

I've got the orange HPI Z28 camaro as a shelf queen ,that I have never ran lol. Awesome looking kyosho ! I've been looking for one of those, been on backorder for the longest 😩 guess because of covid. Appreciate the review 🔥🔥💯👍
Kyosho knocked it out the park with this line! I have the ‘67 GTO.
That’s a good looking car I want a rally car on that chassis with longer shocks.
Recently bought the green 69 Camaro. Was trying to decide between the Kyosho and a Losi. The selling point, besides the Kyosho being on sale, was the better ground clearance the Kyosho has. Haven't even received it yet and I'm already collecting upgrades.ha
That would be a perfect candidate for drift tires ✌🏼😎👍🏼
Great vehicle for the cost and Kyosho offers plenty upgrades to keep us busy. Easily swap to brushless with aluminum driveshafts in stock and available. This is the one in my mind lately but the lwb Chevelle will be my choice.
Greg I love the wheels on your infraction! I like the yellow but think in white with the brown would look insane! I have similar wheels like that on my Audi s4
Man this thing is awesome and price is good too...definitely in the plans to get this just to be a shelf queen lol
Beautiful!!
This is going on the must have list for 2020, killer starting price, wonder how fast she goes as is stock I mean. Nice review, sold me on the get go!!👍

I ordered the re-release javilen from Kyosho not long ago Might get one of these next
My friend had the full-sized '69 Camaro similar to this circa 1975 or so. At _least_ once a day he would get offers to buy it right out from underneath him. The color, if memory will serve, was more of a deeper, carbon paper blue though.
You should make a touring car masters racer out of it. They are so cool to watch.....All old school cars.....that would be awesome!👍
I was in my senior year of high school when this car came out. Loved it back then and love this now. To get rid of body pins, could they shorten the post, put a small flat platform on top of pins and then heavy duty velcro on it and then a matching velcro patch on inside of body. Also a similar velcro attachments on side of frame and matching ones on inside body. Just a thought.

*My dad wants to fire up our RC cars which we haven’t used in 4 years! I remember wanting the vaterra 69 camaro but then I found out they were no longer available which saddens me. But then I found out about this monster which has a nice blue finish which is my favorite color and it’s my second favorite Camaro model first is 67 but I hope I get one of these some day.*
I got mine yesterday. Not the weather is bad to drive. But there is enough to see on thuis model.
Great job Kyosho... VERY scale LooKing! I'd be looking for a GTO or an old-school Mustang.

Great video maker. Thanks
I have the Chevelle and it is beautiful. I cringed when you caught big air and then nose dived. They are pretty fast. I put some black wheels/tires from Amazon on my Chevelle and it spun the rubber off the back wheels. I will redo the glue because the black wheels go nicely with the black stripes.
😍😍 i love this car, nice + 1 subscriber
Adjusting the height of the body is easy, no need to change shock parts. Allnyou have to do is raise the body posts. Super easy. I raise up to go hoon, lower it back to sit on the shelf!
I like to see a 68 firebird body, I buy one to play with/ one to show
Guessing they call it a Fazer because the remote looks like a phaser from Star Trek?
Nice!
I have a real 1969 Z28 and have a few R/C, so when I saw your video and I had to order. Received the car the other day looks great but to much snow here to drive it yet. Where do you get parts? I was looking on line and I'm a little concerned.
My next RC! 69 Camaros are my favorite !
That silver inside the blue is used to make the blue brighter and shinier
Damn, I literally just finished off the 70 Chevelle version with a head and tail light kit! Now I gotta pick this sucker up, lol! The chassis and the body Kyosho is putting out is really great and fun to use! Great video like usual! 😁

Chris Corrado does Kyosho make a headlight kit for these cars? Where can I find it if they do?
@linc131313
4 жыл бұрын
@@stephenlozano2816 I believe that they do, but to be completely honest with you, you can find light kits cheap online through Amazon, Ebay, etc. The light kits really add to that scale realism. I threw some #14 and sponsore decals on mine as well and it came out killer. My roommate, his father and his brother now want one, lol!
Where can I get new tires for this thing? I’m Gonna burn through this first set pretty damn quick.
glad I went with the TT02
awesome body any recomendations on a body for bashing
I like the look of it. I wonder how it would handle without the front wheel drive part. Just remove the out drives and the drive shaft and run it that way maybe? Make a cheaper version with out the front drive would be pretty awesome

As long as it doesn't have a center differential it should work just fine. Nice idea....
Agreed, need to get rid of the body posts!
Hey RcDriver_Online, you should review the Kyosho Outlaw Rampage.
Can u make a video about explaining the numbers on a nitro engine and what the mean that would be very help full and do they make any nitro RC monster truck kits
looks great on the outside, looks durable on the inside. But the driveline looks a bit weak in case of brushless upgrades with that plastic center driveshaft and what else might be inside it. I feel like it might be more worth it to slap those wheels and the body on to a more comptetition style chassis. or perhaps the 4tec at least.
Pretty cool but I agree that they should find a way to do away with the body pins. Also would love to see it a 2WD instead of 4WD to keep it more realistic. Sure it handles better with 4WD, but I would opt for a 2WD version.
I love it!! I would put a brushless motor in it just for acceleration not top speed, so it would be a smaller motor. I just love torque and acceleration!! My local hobby shop has this car and the charger and the chevelle. Edit: hmm i just saw that the gears are plastic, so I dont know if brushless would be the smartest thing to do. Is there metal pinion gears i could put in this? I'm about to go buy the chevelle. Thanks! Awesome video and great detail.

Mad Van body would be badass on this
How's the material quality hope it's not similar to the tamiya's low cost models. I had a tto1e kit and nearly half the screws stripped with me barely torquing them down. Also not too sure with screw in wheels, reminds me of my buddy's hpi e10 and they'd always come out while driving. Fixed it with blue loctite but having to put some on every time you put the wheels back on is inconvenient.
Can you get wider tires for the rear to complete that look?
I have a real 69 z/28. Lemans blue with white stripes. I gotta get one of these. Just have to.
Hey Greg do you think this is a better choice than a 4tec?
this car is freakin awesome brother!!! in your opinion which is better, this one or the '72 camaro from vaterra?? was gonna get the vaterra but this one is pretty groovy lookin and seems to handle really good.

bill cox Tough call. This Kyosho car is pretty impressive if you’re looking for something box stock to stick with. It’s a bit quicker, tires work well and handled well considering the beat up parking lots we drove it on.
Stunning! And they just refuse to bring all these muscle car bodies into their mini z product line.
How did u fix the bumper? Did you do a speed test?
Just wondring what you thought when comparing the Fazer Mk2's vs 72 Chevrolet Camaro SS V100 ? Performance etc
Can you do a video on the remote?..I own the same 1 and kinda dont understand it
Nice,
Do you know where the best place to get one of these would be?
how is this compared to the losi camaro v100?
Has it gotten any off road action ? If so, how has it handled it ?
It's nice but I wish they would have used magnets or something other than those huge body clips. The "chrome" headlight bezels throw off the entire look of the grill.
I'd like to see a 1/8 scale brushless version.
