Hello all! Just to inform you, this is NOT the last episode of Video Scaries. The final episode will air next Wednesday 14th November, then the show will rest whilst I try some new show ideas. Thank you for all the incredible support you've given this series! Much love to you all

Can you cover video game console errors (PS2 Red Screen, SEGA CD Warning, Fearful Harmony, etc) as last episode?

Also, can Video Scaries be replaced by a new series called The Logo Look, where you cover various logos from years gone by to today? Also, can you make the first episode a look at Aardman's logo from the 1970's to the current day? I'd really appreciate it if you make this new series,

hey fella shame is not about drunk driving its about speeding if you want one about drunk driving the DOE have made plenty of others that my northern irish self had to watch when I was 6. English people are wusses you had to ban DOE adverts
“Yes Mum” really got me.
Yes mum was quite possibly one of the most well shot and well made short film I’ve ever seen
Yes Mum gave me the chills.
That first one was memed the hell out and I laughed my ass off.

Came from my country
The "Yes, Mum" film is striking and horrifying but because of the way it juxtaposes the passengers dancing and playing in the car with them struggling to get out without drowning, I also couldn't help making the leap to Homer Simpson daydreaming about clown college, where he thinks he sees clowns tumbling but it's actually his coworkers on fire and trying to put out the flames.

Bleh!
I remember hearing an eerie drink driving ad on the radio back in the late 80s, when I was about 8. It was frequently played between the 'Network Charts', a sort of radio Top of the Pops. This particular ad featured a little boy at a party, and another kid's mum hesitantly explaining that his parents wouldn't be picking him up as planned and his granny was on the way instead. He kept asking why and she skirted round and didn't give him a straight answer. Then the granny arrived, and the lad asked why she'd come in a police car, and finally a voiceover stated: 'Drinking and driving wrecks lives'. It sent a shiver down my spine then and still does now when I think of it.
Eyes features a young Denise Van Outen and the posters for it carried the tagline “look her in the eye and then say a quick drink never hurt anybody”. Remember one in our doctor’s surgery.
Wow, another person who doesn't dislike Moment of Doubt! (the bartender one) I've seen a lot of PIF reviewers online who hate that one, but I've never minded it. Nice to see I'm not alone. Edit: never seen Yes Mum and it's depressing as all get out.
I think you can dedicate a full episode of Video Scaries to those Irish Road Safety adverts, which were often brutal
The yes mum one genuinely made me cry
I’m pretty sure that the “Shame” commercial was an Anti-Speeding commercial, not an Anti-Drink Driving commercial.

True. I just commented about it.
I’m sorry but the shame on you ad is the funniest PSA I’ve ever watched. I even heard one where they add a cartoony squish. 😂
1:14 Oh WOW we started with THIS one… yeah that really sets the tone for this video.
eyes gave me the creeps as a kid
Took me until the end of the Bloody Idiot ad to remember that cars in Australia have the steering wheel on the right side. Until then I was laughing thinking they got it backwards.
Great bit of detail on the “Eyes” ad, her pupils are unequal.
this video should get updated because the first one wasn't him drinking, he was speeding
There was one where a little girl was hit by a car in reverse snd it was quite horrible and hard to watch it was the one that had the tagline: "If you hit me at 30 miles an hour, there's an 88% chance I'll die." There was also one where a man dies in a car accident while talking to his wife on the phone and it ends with his wife crying and he has blood trickling from his nostril which made it so grim. I had to leave the room for a while when I first saw it.
Bloody hell, mate!!! Hit me right in the feels!!!

I read that in Colin Baker's voice lol.
The first one was really about speeding. There was no indication that the driver was drinking at all. The only think we saw him ingest was... I think it was a piece of toast.

@@404TVfr don't text and drive but also don't drink beer and drive
The first one is a speeding advert, not a drink driving advert.
Yes mum was the worst one I’ve seen today and I’ve been binge watching these videos
There's a Students Against Destructive Decisions PSA where someone gets turned into a donkey. You have to seek that one out.
DOE has a similar PIF regarding "Shame on You", simply called "Shame", and it's the one addressing how being drunk while driving could end up in head-crushing (no pun intended) consequence. While "Shame On You" having a different approach, is for speeding. In conclusion, "Shame" has the ending tagline, *"Never drink and drive. Could you live with the shame?"* , so it's more appropriate to be here in this video talking about "drink driving" PIFs and PSAs.
Whoa...Yes Mum... That was a twist.
That very first advert was Almost banned
The Irish doe advert was for speeding not drink driving
moral of the video: just walk home
The first PIF is about speeding, not drink driving.
There is another Australian clip where there is a child playing in the back garden and a car flips over the fence killing him instantly dad runs out to see his dead son laying lifeless on the lawn. That really broke me 😢
I watched this in the dark lol
I remember the first ad set airing it was weird
