Drilling for safe drinking water in the DRC | UNICEF
"We have health problems, we get infections because we are not drinking clean water...It has to change," says Marie Matondo, a 31-year-old mother of six in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Manual drilling is being used in Marie's Binza Météo community to transform the health of the entire village. The Democratic Republic of the Congo is one of three countries in the world in which more than 50% per cent of the population do not have access to safe drinking water.
