Reminds me of the time my DI's had me sitting on a bench talking like Forrest Gump while the rest of the platoon practiced the graduation ceremony. I got stuck on light duty because the skin on the bottoms of my feet sloughed off on the hump back from the crucible and got infescted, so they just sat me on a little bench by the PI museum and be Forrest. Good times.

The average person would think these Sergeants are being unnecessarily rude. They aren't. They are doing this to get a point across, because they don't want you to fail. But they won't get their point across by being all wishy washy. The only way to get your point across is by making yourself clear. They do that very effectively.

I became the recruit Tier for about 6 of the recruits who didn’t know how to do a tie knot. DI Fox asked me, who taught you how to tie outstanding tie knots like that, because you didn’t teach yourself Son. I told DI Fox, my Grandfather, Father, and Uncles . Then He requested I tie all the DI ties! I call it the Tornado knot! 😂
