Drifting The FIRST Touge Event IN THE USA! It's CRAZY FAST and SKETCHY!

We wanted to embody the feel of this event in the video, so the edit is a bit different than my normal uploads that are meant to share knowledge or education of an event. This one is just for the enjoyment, so let us know what you think.
This event was insane... 4th gear drifting in a mountain pass that was on and off camber in the middle of Kentucky. I can't believe this actually happened, All other events will be soft from now on, this is the future. The fox body ran great and was really dialed for the up and down hill runs.
The event ran smooth, with a few manageable crashes, but no more than a usual drift event. But the vibe was really really rad. Everyone had respect for the town and all parties involved and were just having a great time. This is what drifting is about. Exploring the possibilities and growing the sport through rad and extreme events.

I hope this is the future of car culture videos in the US. Having some crazy horsepower burnouts and stunting…that’s cool and has its own place. I love seeing people out there doing the damn thing. Whether that’s racing or cruising or drifting. It’s the culture around it that really makes it what it is.
Absolutely epic event. Hope stuff like this becomes more commonplace here in the US as drifting gets bigger. Japan isnt the only place with mountains!

5:22 - So crazy to see the different chassis and tuning setups between that foxbody and the e46 when they finish this series of drifts. I watched this finish like 10 times.
I grew up there. Insane to see you guys drifting a road I've traveled thousands of times. SUPER COOL!!!!
Not a drift guy but this made me want to get into it more than all of the track videos I've seen put together. Good call on the old school skate video type format. There were a lot of talented mfs in those hills.

Тhese types of courses are my favourites, I dо lots of street drifting and touge so seeing you drive a mountain course 3rd and 4th gear high speed was soo enjoyable to watch.
This was a great vid, I couldn't keep the smile off my face. I've seen so many touge drift videos from Japan and wished I grew up in the golden age and it was awesome to see this in my time.

I normally couldn’t not care less about drifting. I’m a total grip guy. Don’t care for normal Fd stuff etc. this however, very entertaining and love to see it happening! Especially legally!! This was totally ground breaking. Keep it up, really hope this happens more!!

Thousand times cooler, more entertaining, and just more fun than any Formula D event. Keeps to the roots, money doesn't get in the way, brings style and steez back, more realistic for the normal person, no need for overbuilt excessive horsepower cars, less drama, more fun, relaxed, just plain rad. Hope this becomes huge!

Welcome to my backyard boys. Thus is what we rip when we can. Ky has some awesome roads for this. Another good one is ky highway 52 from Lee County going into Estill county! Down the mountain with literal switchbacks.
This is hands down the best American drift video I've seen. Formula drift is fine sure, but seeing it on real roads with the incredible background of lush green foliage. The US needs more racing series like this.
