@Sir Turtle Maybe, but by making Jesus looks bad the anime lost all Christianity fans, and by making Hitler looks good the anime may have trouble spreading because of political problems. Plus, the anime doesn't really explain the characters' history clearly so only those who spend time searching the infomation about the characters or already know about them will truly fully enjoy the anime.

Main character voice is trash otherwise okay

I love this anime. I mean it has everything I could ever want. Awesome drawing style, Isekai, no harem bullshit, absolutely based gigachad characters, historical figures, a ww2 plane fighting fricking dragons, realisticly strong MC's, cool war strategies being deployed, cool intro and amazing outro... *WHY IS IT NOT MORE POPULAR!!!*

i love this kind of isekai'd anime who makes me thinking. i expect some overpowered kid with blades but i've got "what if historical figures wage war on each other logically with mythical beings employed with strategies" no wonder the author takes a lot of time to write it.

in Hellsing , guns have infinite bullets. In Drifters, swords get longer or shorter as needed. xD

The nodachi was meant to be used as an anti cavalry weapon, not sure how effective was it, but I suppose you'd be like a doppelsoldner to wield one and be known in the 1st place

Such an amazing opening scene and series. It's so underated which I don't understand. During lockdown I've gotten hooked on anime and I put this up there with, Kengan ashura, Baki and also Castlevania. I have now finished watching all of them and found them all pleasantly time consuming

@@Catjuggler It's remained fairly consistent in its position as one of the most popular anime since its conception, and for a good reason. The show is unexpected, constantly surprising the viewer, while also being a good read/watch for any age demographic. It has deep meanings, tackles a lot of philosophy, has intense fights all the while taking part in a story that we still cannot predict how exactly it will end. If you got the time, i'd highly recommend giving it another go. The author does not disappoint.

他にできる奴って可児才蔵くらいでしょうね。あいつは戦闘狂で作戦無視するから関ケ原出禁にされて監視されてるのに、脱走して歩兵として10人以上の首を上げるというヤバいことやってる。戦場で引いて切る槍というオリジナル武器も使う異才の武将なのに、未だに無双シリーズにでない悲しみ。

sorry you have to wait longer..since his manga still havent updated a lot (if make by using current manga, it can only achive 3-5 episodes only) yeah after hellsing & fma stunts by making their own ending (even though i love it)..i think it will have to wait until manga progression are sufficient enough at least for a season, similar style like AoT

I haven't read the original manga, but I don't think Toyohisa actually manages to kill Ii Naomasa here. As for historical facts, Naomasa was shot in the leg by one of Shimazu Yoshihiro's liegemen during this skirmish. Despite being severely wounded, Naomasa willingly takes part in a favoring post-war treaty for the Shimazu clan, deeply impressed by Toyohisa's last stand.

Unfortunately we probably have to wait a while more for morr to be written, the mangaka updates super slowly so the anime is at about 70% of the manga as it is :(

One of the best isekais ever sadly it didn't got the recognition it deserves

one of the best animation ever, it looks just epic + 1 of my fav anime ever

I really love this anime but I wish the animators made up their minds on the blade length. In a few scenes is a Nodachi, then a Katana, then a Wakizashi. It's tilting.

In the three and a half years since this anime aired the mangaka has released like 30 some chapters. They're at 79 or so right now and the anime ended off around 45 IIRC. Honestly one of the most frustrating things in the world.

This series is something I need to start watching again. It's the same guys who made Hellsing, so I neeeed to watch this

Kota hirano always knew how to make badass scene

everybody gangsta until a samurai who was stabbed 24 times pulls out a gun and completes his objective

He doesn't die though, he is mortally wounded and died 2 years after the battle.

Listening to Godsuya (VA Yuiichi Nakamura) talk with raw historical accents of past Kagoshima (Satsuma Clan) is awesome.

Most of them have recency bias. I like Mushoku Tensei and I think its one of the better isekai anime out there. But there are better isekai shows out there like Twelve Kingdoms
