Dried Porcini Pastas

foragerchef.com/porcini-pasta/
It was a banner year for boletes so I have lots of dried porcini burning a hole in my pantry. Here's two different pasta sauces you can make with those dried porcini: a creamy version, and a rustic version.
The creamy version is all about maximum porcini flavor. To really amplify their mild taste, you need a little cream. The rustic version is more of a quick mushroom sugo and includes chopped, peeled tomatoes that break down in the sauce. Both recipes are on my website in the link above.
I use spaghetti here, but tagliatelle with porcini is great too, and the both sauces here will work well with just about any long noodle.

I have some commercially dried mushrooms (mixed wild mushrooms according to the label). Would i need to treat them differently (longer soak or simmer, maybe?) to use them in a similar way to these dishes? They looks so satisfying but not heavy.

Yes simmer a bit and make sure they're tender.

Now I regret eating all the mushrooms I found in the fall. Guess I'm gonna go Ina Garten on this and tell myself that "store bought is fine".
