Yes, I am currently trying to find a way to organize how to see Rain Country's Playlists. Navigating Your-Tube even in channels that are very organized and come with instructions, just isn't all that easy for some of us. Whether it is the way You-Tube runs algorithms pertaining to individual preferences, I don't know. But, this is certainly in one of the playlists listed at the top of the Rain Country Channel.

Glad to see the dried cabbage. One of the nice things is that it rehydrates to nearly 4 times the dried volume so storage is a smaller footprint than most other dried veggies. 1/2 cup dried makes almost 2 cups of rehydrated. Goes a long way!

Dried cabbage (and carrots, taters & onions) would work great to make boiled dinner! For those unfamiliar, it's a broth based soup made from ham, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, onions & whatever seasoning you want...learned of it when I was working at a nursing home 45+ years ago...good stuff!!!

Thank you for talking about the castor oil. I was just considering buying castor oil in a glass bottle. I know why people are asking about this. A woman is selling her line of products and was saying that it was bad to buy it in plastic. She wants to sell her products by making them seem superior. I don't blame her and she may have a superior product I don't know. But it's good to know that I am not harming myself by buying it in dark colored plastic.

Great Monday, thank you! Are you buying your moringa, or growing it? It is a warmer weather tree, even in Florida, it's not always hot enough long enough to grow the seed pods... I ask, as my home grown morings has such a sweet smell, and nice flavor, I sprinkle it on my salads. But I am now in West Virginia, hoping my daughter has seedlings she can start and bring me, brrr, this is cold! Folks here say they don't plant until May, wow! A learning curve for sure! Anyway, thanks for this new that! Looking forward to your collaboration tomorrow, I will be straining my latest apple vinegar, thank you! May God continue to bless you and Mr Rain.

I've found that when you type certain words in a particular order you could find lots of articles to support your beliefs, so I type what I want to know in several different ways. For instance.... Is X harmful helpful, toxic Or what are the health benefits of X I do this because there's always someone else who's opinion or beliefs will align with yours and what good is knowledge from someone if it doesn't give all sides, reasons etc of the subject. so I am new to this even though i have had my dehydrator for awhile now but if I have dried carrots, cabbage, peppers, garlic etc. can these be rehydrated to make a coleslaw. do you just put it all in hot water to rehydrate and then still use your mayonnaise or whatever sauce and mix together. Can't find a video on how to explain this. I put my dried veg. into gallon size bags should it be put into the canning jars instead.

  • @RainCountryHomestead

Yes, it should work though the texture may be different. You may even need to boil them for a bit if you dried them all in their raw state and did not blanch.

so far I have only dried the purple cabbage and I did blanch that, I was going to dri all the other ingredients so I can put it all together would it be better to not dri the other ingredients. making for sunday party, you have to make something that is your color and my color is purple so I thought a coleslaw with the purple cabbage would work. unless you have another recipe idea for a birthday cookout party. thanks for replying.@@RainCountryHomestead

While I agree that glass is always best, it is not always easy to come by, especially when buying in gallon jugs. It just seems there always has to be someone who wants to start some big scare about something. I never heard anyone say this about castor oil in plastic until about two weeks ago and suddenly out of the wood work, people are saying it all over the place.
