What Drew's work is, is acquiring the knowledge that makes him absolutely expert in his field. His talent is exceptional keenness of eye. Once you've achieved that status, you can go out and have fun, too.

I'm not jeaulous of many things but I am in envy of Drew and what he does. But it is so well deserved though, coming from decades of dedication to the trade and love for the craftmanship.

I vaguely remember my grandfather's chair with carved Lions Heads on the hand rests. My father said, someone must have told you that story, because I was only 2 or 3 years old. I remember it to this day.

That first room is amazing and I love the pictures with the arrow holes in them. I have to say many of these homes have too much stuff and a little clear out would help aesthetically and financially.

I'm going to make my way to Scotland next year, my great great came to America in1862, through Canada. He lost his wife, and put my great grandfather in the charge of his brother in law in Indiana. Great, great returned, and found his way to Parsons Kansas. Well, it's weird family situataion, eventually, we all ended up here in the Pacific northwest. Ha det Bra, Takk

I wonder what the winter heating costs in these palatial country houses. Last time I lived in England, in Hampstead, my electricity bill in winter was astronomical. In a relatively modest flat.

When programs like this appear they always have a detrimental affect on the trade ..the general public who watch this program get a poseption that everything thats old or looks old is worth far more than it actually is based on the what this guy is buying and selling for and its far from reality. It drives buying prices up for the dealers and trying to make any or little profit very difficult because access to the places he picks from doesn't happen in real life unless a TV production team is present and who gets that no one...anyone who is thinking of making a decent living out of this game should do there home work before they commit belive me a lot of doors have to be opened and meny years of graft have to be done if you want to survive.

Drew, this so cool, is this an old rock and roller? This is so boss hog! Are you kidding me. Who is this cat you're visiting, he one of the gentry? COOL! The narrator, he sounds like Jeremy Irons, the great actor, is that true? I recognize the voice, who the heck is he. Let me know.

It doesnt mean it will sell for 7k, thats the maximum potential if he restores and reupholsters it in a fabric that will likely cost upwards of 2k for the fabric alone. You dont upholster antiques in shit fabric...
