This FB Marketplace dresser find was pretty dinged up, neglected, scratched, gouged, and the drawers didn't line up right. But I knew it was a good, sturdy piece, and was mahogany woodgrain so I was super excited to get it out of the dusty spare room it came from and make it a focal point again!
I kept the paint to a minimum, only painting the sides and legs, and let the mahogany woodgrain steal the show! I love a wood and paint combination!

This is one of my favorites! Your pieces always turn out beautiful. The oil finish was amazing. I'm 66 yrs old so I have a special place in my heart for mid century, it's the furniture I grew up with. I had a good chuckle at your staging, we had those exact ducks hanging in our house.
I think this is my favorite piece so far...though, I'm having fun watching all of your amazing flips!

The color is so much better. I love how the lighter portions of wood grains oftentimes adds a shimering effect. Beauttiful.

What a transformation that grain is lovely it's my favourite part when the sander goes on and the grain reveals itself looks lovely with the coal black from drab to absolutely fab.

I love this combination of a black painted part and the nutmeg finish part on the same piece. I have yet to see one piece that I did not like. You have the foresight to see which part to leave alone and which to paint. Marvelous!

Would you maybe consider doing a quick video of how we can best keep antiques we may already have? I have a burl wood dining set that has too many years of pledge furniture polish on it or something and would love some tips on how to best get that off and what to use to keep it looking great.
