Dresser makeover - How to create a smooth finish with Magic Paint for a modern effect.
In this video I show you how to apply paint and protective varnish to create a smooth and streak-free finish and obtain a restyling with a contemporary, modern, smooth and velvety effect.
The creation of this restyling retains something magical.
Immersed in the enchantment of one of the ancient buildings of the town where I live, I worked on this Art Deco style sideboard, breathing in the history of this splendid house which preserves the historical beauty of the place. A building that has hosted for years not only this precious piece of furniture, but also many other treasures of elegant manufacturing, starting with the furnishings, passing through the particular and refined accessories, and ending with the wonderful and precious original cement tiles of the time.
Time passes, history evolves and things change, and so, after this restyling, the sideboard will enrich another environment, equally refined and tasteful, where modern and ancient, classic and contemporary meet, where the tones elegant black, dove gray and ivory blend with the timeless beauty of the natural wood finish.
The depth of the black, the originality in the play of the different geometries of the briar, the light light of the golden inserts. This is how, from an initial idea by Daniela Caponnetto of #La Bottega delle Vecchie Matte (my favorite suppliers of the "Magic" #MagicPaint colours, together with the owner of the piece of furniture, we designed the restyling of this wonderful piece, which becomes a ring of conjunction between old and new, and which standardizes the environment in an expertly designed Modern Classic style.
And now we're just waiting to see this wonderful piece of furniture shine in its new context. In the meantime, let's enjoy it in all its splendor in the room where it has always been. Zizzu
