Actually, her job is to sell a dress and she would know that you aren't going to sell one until you get the girl in a dress. This is why she was trying to describe to the mom how they could make the blue dress appropriate for church and was trying to tell the daughter how they could add things to the pink dresses to make them what she wanted.

The “why would she promote this dress” is outrageous 💀💀

They were so worried about the navy blue dress being too revealing, but they were fine with the pink one falling off her top .... 😂

The navy blue one had a cape for her to cover herself up for the church, the pink one didn’t. Navy blue is definitely her color, the mom needs to realize it’s not her quince it’s her daughters, the mom was very controlling.

it depends on what church because there's a lot of different types of christian church. Also, she is still a minor, she can dress whatever she wants once she reached adulthood. It's just that her parents concern if it's not appropriate for their religion.

Uhh u know there is this rule in church that a woman must show little to nothing skin.That's why someone women if they have a short sleeve dress,cover up when they are in church.Because the corset was see through it showed too much skin and had to be covered up entirely.The concept of going to church is going in modest clothes.But because it is a quince,she has to get a dress that is more modest and acceptable for church.

I couldn’t tell if this was staged, but then I remembered that All the Say Yes to the Dress episodes are somewhat produced to create a storyline, so I think this was really well done for a private dress shop to film & put together. The family is adorable, you can tell she’s very loved. While they might have pressured her out of a dress she liked, I agree with Mom & dad, blue dress was not it. 15 in the Catholic Church?! No, no, no. The second dress was gorgeous, but dress 3 really made her shine.

I think her parents probably know what the church they attend will approve of and not approve of. Young people are forgetting that the tradition of the quince is a re-dedication of yourself to God and the Virgin Mary, replacing the vows your parents and godparents made during your Baptism. It is religiously significant, not like a sweet 16. It also has strong meaning for the parents because they are acknowledging that their little girl is transitioning into adulthood. Parents start imagining a quince for their little girls almost as soon as they are born. It should be important that young girls and parents work together for a quince that makes them ALL happy. This young lady seemed like she was really happy with her dress at the end and that’s what matters!

If you dig deep enough, TRADITION of the quince stems from animal sacrifices. The church only appropriated the custom to keep the Indios happy.

quinces only happen once is a girls life they should have a choice on what dress they want to wear like i understand because im under the same pressure but like its still wrong for the parent to not let their daughter choose the dress of their dress for a party that only happens once in a life time. im turning 15 next year and my mom is very religous but she a least is letting me choose my dress and theme the way i wanted.

They could’ve easily adjusted the dress with some type of fabric to cover the see through part of the dress for the church, along with the cape, it would look acceptable and for the party, remove the adjustments 😢 she was the only one there with blue eyes, it hurt my heart. 😭 love Jess !
