I can't lie. Everytime this song comes on I get chills and cry. It is such an emotional and powerful song. My brother passed away last Febuary and It has been difficult to process. This song helps.
when i was at my lowest, i was in the middle of losing my partner of four years. we both saw it coming, but i couldn't come to terms with it. i was alone, and i clawed at my face until i bled. my partner came home and saw what happened to me, and gave me a hug, and helped me find someone in therapy to talk to. hearing this song say "And as you grasped me tight I felt like I was in the arms of God" made me feel so heard. i will never forget that hug. it kept me here. thankfully, i am doing a lot better, and so is my ex. my heart goes out to whoever is reading this and is in pain. i know how it feels.
The first time I listened to this song, I feel like I was floating or being transferred into another universe. The lyrics, the meaning behind the lyrics and just everything about this song is perfect. I could listen to it everyday.

a girl i like sent me this song, i mean i like her from my side never said anything about it, but this song means a lot to me because she’s the first girl to make me feel something in years, and i’m thankful for this song because i know even if it doesn’t work out eventually it’s gonna always remind me of her, even if i can sense that it’s not mutual but at least i’m just happy she’s there.
Too underrated. This is amazing.
This is literally my first relationship, those lyrics fit it so well and honestly this makes me think about her so much, even though she broke me as a person not just my heart. I don't love her anymore but I sure miss being friends.

been suicidal for quite a while now. Almost ended my life during one of the worst times in my life. I’m doing better now. But amidst the pains in my memory I will never forget how this song was one of the things that were there with me through it all. I hope everyone here will be happier and feel better. We can do this. I’m wishing peace for all of us.

we were best friends and then school started and he forgot i existed. neither of us really ever fit in and that's what made us work so well. but i guess he fits in now.
I found this song when i was 19 and suicidal,i keept listening it for 2 years ,it resonated with me ,i feelt comfort ,peace,love listening to it while ridinig my bike in town at night .thanks

Typically when I hear songs I enjoy and throw them in a playlist I don't really get a chance to fully listen to them sometimes. Today I really listened to this song. The lyrics detail exactly what I'm feeling a day away from mutually breaking up with my first love for career and personal growth reasons. I think the hardest part is knowing how deeply I love and care for this person yet knowing we can't be together right now. The lyrics really hit home for me about being her only friend and not being able to fully love someone until you learn to love yourself. The near future is gonna be nothing but pain and sadness and I can't say for sure how things pay end up for me. All I know is that when you find that right person it may not be the right time or place but I know that one day when we are left with little regrets maybe we can return to each other. Thank you dreams we've had, your music has really touched me.

I stared at the ocean and the light shades of blue the sky still was and thought of you. The cold inside made the temperature of the water seem warm and i fell in love with you one more time again. I remember being 16 listening to this for the first time and now 6 years later, I’ve stumbled upon it once again. I literally wish I could go back to being 16, I want to relive the days where it was much more simple. Where all my friends could hang out together no questions asked, no schedule to look at, the only worry was asking our parents if we were able to go out and they’d most likely all say yes because they knew we’d all be In a huge group together just enjoying each others companies. The saying where you wish you’d know you were in the good old days before you left them resonates with me so much. I miss it all. It’s so weird how it happened, we thought no way, it won’t happen to us, we’re stuck together, you’ll be my kids god parents for sure. Yet I’m down to one friend. And everyone else has their own life. I haven’t even tried making new friends, they won’t ever compare to those I had. Like ever. My only hope is that we’ll cross paths again and pick up as if we never said goodbye.
