This is so helpful. I really loved seeing the resort and hearing your thoughts. Were there any special areas or things for younger kids (under two years old)?

Oh I'm so glad! Let me think....There is a nice small waterpark just for the younger kids - that seemed to be popular with families with little ones. Also, there is a Kids Club of course, so I would imagine they have activities for the very small kids. And every evening there is a different themed activity - and they always seem to incorporate some kids' activities for all ages into those. For example, there was a Circus Night with circus performers -and the very little kids seemed enjoy that. I hope this helps :)

Thank you for posting such a great informative video. My family is planning a trip back to DR and we wanted are considering this resort and Finest Punta Cana as or right now. Did they compare? Is it anything that stood out to you with either one?

Thank you for the kind words! As for the differences, we definitely enjoyed both resorts. If you're into surfing &/or arcades, then Dreams came out on top for those. If you're more into food & entertainment, I would go with Finest. I actually did another video about Finest Punta Cana - you can find it on my channel - so if you haven't seen that yet, you might want to check that out & that may give you some additional insight. Have fun!

@@epicmomstravel I will definitely go find your other video. As far as the suites/rooms did you prefer one over the other? This may be a hard choice so many nice amenities at both. We went to Royalton Bavaro first time in Dominican Republic and absolutely loved it. We wanted to experience a different resort next time.

@@lakeishafaulks6680 Well, we stayed in the Preferred Club 2-Bedroom Villa at Dreams Macao....so it wasn't really an equal comparison. That was probably the nicest room I've ever stayed at anywhere. It had a private plunge pool & everything - just outstanding. We booked Finest much later, and so the room selection was largely picked over & the bigger rooms were already gone - we ended up staying in a Family Suite, which was quite nice as well - but it only had 1 bathroom vs. 2. Because we have a teenager, we prefer having more space & bathrooms vs. less, but I can see that the Finest family suites would work very well for a family with young children. So - for my money the Dreams villas were top-notch.

Hello thank you for all your videos, the they are all full with a lot of information, I really appreciate it. I am playing a vacation this June and I seen your others vidoes about Hyatt Ziva. Which one is better the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana or the Dreams Macao. Which one have the better food, pools beach, drinks, rooms, cleanliness and entertainment. Thank you and I have learned a lot with your videos

Oh thank you for your kind words - I'm so glad the videos have been helpful! All the resorts were lovely - but personally if I had to pick between the 2 you mentioned, I would pick Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana. Have fun on your vacation!

I know this video is a year old…… we are booked here based on your video. Thank you 😊. They only had a preferred king swim out. Traveling with two boys - do you know if the sofa is a pull out. My 14 year old is 6’2 and he needs a proper bed.

Congrats! We were there attending a wedding & the wedding was GORGEOUS! As for the food, I would say the quality varied a lot from restaurant to restaurant - the Preferred Club restaurants seemed to be better, in my opinion - we enjoyed the Habachi especially

Question - deciding between Hard Rock and Dreams Macao - which one for a family with two kids 12/10.

sorry I just now saw this - I haven't been to Hard Rock yet, so I can't really compare the two - but if your kids are 12 & 10, I would definitely look into it, as I believe it's geared more toward teens - Dreams Macao is good if your kids are interested in surfing & arcades

Hi We are thinking off booking this for our honeymoon, with regards to the preferred club do you have to book this before arriving or can you book this on arrival. What is the additional cost for this.

Congrats! :) For us, the Preferred Club was built into our room cost - so based on the fact that we booked a Preferred Club villa, that just came as part of the room - so when you book a room, if you want Preferred Club, I would select that during the booking.

Slightly worried about the pool and beach beds situation. We always say when booking 5 star hotels/resorts we should always be able to wake up around 9AM and head to the pool at 10AM. Will this not be possible here? We are going september 2023

Will you have a butler? If so, they can reserve chairs for you - I never got up early to do it myself

Everyone I talk to says you dont need to make reservations for the a la carte, just show up when they open and you should be OK. Is this true now?

We were there in March 2022, so I can only comment on what was happening when we were there - but yes, at that time we didn't need reservations for a la carte restaurants, like the buffet. It was really only the dinner restaurants that we made reservations for - and I do think that was a good idea to just make them all the first day you get there, so you don't have to worry about it.

So wait. If I don't pay extra for the "butler", I'm screwed because you guys are getting your butler to get you into every restaurant, take all the chairs and towels etc? I think I will pass on this place if that is the case.

I never used the Butler. You don't need to get a reservation for any restaurant. If you want to eat around 730 pm you may have to wait awhile so sit down and get a drink. They will beep you. There are lots of towels.

What is seaweed situation there please

When we were there, there wasn't a seaweed issue that I noticed - if you look at about 13:20 in the video, you can see my daughter surfing in the background & the shoreline

I was there last week in May 2023. NEVER saw any seaweed. Very nice beach.

I'm not sure about the Preferred membership - but we booked a Club-level suite & that's why we had a butler

Not a good idea to reserve chairs the night before...Then not get to the pool until lunchtime..Really?

I always got up at 7Am grabbed a coffee and went diwn to the pool and threw some towels on a chair.

I paid $50 for the Arcade for the whole week. Negotiate

That’s interesting…Which pool were you at? We were at the Club pool & they definitely didn’t allow us to have food by the pool when we were there (drinks, yes) - but there was a snack bar nearby with seats though - they told us we had to keep the food there

Oh thank you! I’m sure you’ll have a great time - one activity that we really enjoyed was going on a 1/2 day snorkel excursion. They had this available at Dreams, but we actually just booked ours separately thru a private company - if you look at my Finest Punta Cana video at 18:56, you can see what we did - it was one of our favorite things & you could do this thru any Punta Cana resort - have fun!
