They're definitely listening! They made an interesting post in their discord this morning, and it addresses most of the talking points in this video. While I am very disappointed with the current game state and sad to see many players stepping away, I'm still hopeful that the devs can turn this around before it gets any worse. I CANNOT agree more. This update has been extremely underwhelming and the bugs was just the last straw for me. I now only play DDV for the weekly dreamsnap challenge, so at most I only put in an hour or two each week on reset. It went from being one of my most favorite games, to being one of my least played games. And it really saddens me - DDV is such a cozy, happy game and things like underwhelming star paths, really bad glitches and high costs of premium shop items completely ruins it.

Understandable. I'm happy to hear you're still able to enjoy dreamsnaps to a degree. I do think the devs are listening, and I'm hopeful things will improve in update 11. I just hope we don't lose too many players by then. I enjoy the community and camaraderie we have.

It's become unplayable for me and I'm on PC. I crashed a total of 10 times in 4 hours live on stream. It's gotten so bad that I've even included a crash counter on stream. It's BEYOND infuriating and very disheartening. The hotfix didn't make it any better either. Fingers crossed the next update fixes it all. Great video as always! Keep up the amazing work. :)

Omg Jade! That sounds SO stressful! I'm really sorry you're experiencing this. Crashing is bad enough when you're trying to play and relax... but while you're streaming?! It's the worst! I'm not sure if it will help, but when the update rolled out, I couldn't play on Eternity Isle AT ALL without crashing constantly! It was really bad. Though, after about ten or so crashes, I started to figure out that it was a "conflict" within the game that wasn't allowing something to execute properly. I assumed that one of the new quests or a new item potentially existed on top of a house or item I had placed as the game would almost always crash on or around "Ancient's Landing" in particular. So, I went to the valley, went into furniture mode, and moved all my NPC houses and premium houses to the valley, stripping all large homes and structures away from the Isle. After doing this, the crashing completely stopped, and I haven't seen a crash since. Now... I know this is a long shot, but on the off chance that your crashes are happening on Eternity Isle and it's the same issue, telling you this fix might just help. Of course, it's also possible that you're experiencing a completely different issue. I hope it gets worked out! Oh, and thank you for the kind words, Jade! Take care! 😁

I'm on Switch. It's crashing so much more since the hotfix. The bugs started with invisible collisions in The Borderlands after placing and removing the Elegant Gazebo. The same thing then happened in my plaza. Then items started disappearing in furniture mode. Add on top of that this super grindy event and crashing every 20 minutes makes progressing difficult.

I'm on switch, too, and I noticed in the Desert biome small random invisible barriers before the hotfix update. It's hard to remember where the rest are because I reported only two at the time I found them. Only to find more after I emailed them.

Here's the deal for me; Deciding to manage the game in the triple A style instead of the free to play mobile style means I get to make demands of the game. You didn't give it to me; I bought it. I'm a stake holder and I have very normal expectations like: I don't want to constantly save because freezing or hard crash to homescreen means I've lost everything I just did and then have to restart. I have not even been able to make the popcorn buckets because I can't get enough of materials together in a given amount of time. Quests don't launch, the lag is wild, I could go on. There are not too many areas in life where you hand over €140 and then just hope for the best. It's ok to critique and hold professionals to account: Especially when they happily took your money AND have a Shop where you can spend again and again.

Not only are the popcorn, buckets, ridiculous but I can’t even do the quest for Daisy duck. Specifically putting down flowers at the castle. Sometimes doing the popcorn buckets I approach the people that are supposed to give me the starter and they talk to me but the counter doesn’t appear, I have to leave the game shut down the game come back into the game and maybe the quest will be there as it should be. I’ve had enough of this game and I’ve paid for it and the upgrade. Sometimes I’ve paid for the items in the item shop no more I’m done won’t waste my money.

FYI, I’m on PlayStation five and have them the whole time and I cannot get the quest either pop up or finish. I shouldn’t have to ask people to come to my island and give me items.

I seriously would rather they delay all updates so they can get a handle all these bugs.

Dang, can I just say.... .... .... "That was IMPRESSive." By that I mean your video, not necessarily the update and/or bug fixes... ;) But I just had to echo your joy over those dang fireworks! LOL I passed on those, but I might go back now and get them! They look fabulous! LOL! But also, you know what? Even with the bugs in the game right now, I've [thankfully] managed to complete the Star Path, the Daisy update (to Level 10 Friendship with no glitches), the Oswald EP stage (again, no glitches), and the crazy "find all the buttons and make one of each stupid popcorn bucket that can only be placed outside!" task... level... path... event... thingy... (I grinded to get the stuff to craft ONE extra Cinderella popcorn bucket to put in my Cinderella-themed bedroom in my main house, only to be horribly disappointed when I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled to find it greyed out with an "Outdoors Only" sign.... * cue Oswald in some sort of wailing and gnashing of teeth animation... * ) Wait! I was trying to be positive... AHEM!!! Excuse me... All in all, despite the frustration of disappearing furniture with no apparent trigger or rhyme or reason whilst decorating and/or taking a Dreamsnap photo, as well as a couple of other oddities (PC player), I can't say that any of this is "game-breaking". I mean, let's all put on our big-kid panties here, right? This is a GAME, it's not real life. In my REAL life, a person in my extended community just passed away unexpectedly. Children and a spouse are left hurting badly. THAT'S hard. Disappearing furniture and other glitches in a GAME just can't be anywhere near "the last straw" for anyone. We don't live our lives - even if we KZread about it regularly - for a GAME. We (the players/viewers) need to cut the drama and turn ourselves around and be grateful to those folks who gave us this thing that we've enjoyed so much in the last year-and-a-bit. I bought into Early Access at the Ultimate Gimme-It-All Level, and I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED. I have never been. Because I know beyond a shadow of a doubt (and my hours played in this game will prove that) that I've gotten MORE than my money's worth out of this game so far - DESPITE some times where things haven't gone as they were expected to or "should have". If there are some oddities along the way, I'll not slam the dev's or complain that my day has been ruined or the game has been ruined for me. Because it's a frickin' GAME. Life is hard. Gaming is not. Thanks for another great video. Thanks for sharing your point of view with others who like this game. :) I was kind of waiting for your take on all of this, and I was not disappointed. You show great patience and kindness and wisdom for one so young. (LOL - Everyone is YOUNG to me these days on the interwebs, so don't take that too hard... :D ) I have thought before that you should have been a professional photographer... but I am now leaning toward the notion that you could be a professional diplomat! I can’t even finish the weekly decor quest for Scrooge without it crashing. I can’t decorate at all on switch or Xbox. I’ve spent so much money on this game so it’s totally my bad. Never again.

I've been getting a lot of crashes in my game ever since the update and I do think some of the prices of the stuff can be very ridiculous especially if you're struggling with the dream snap challenges. I'm hardly breaking into the thousands with the challenges lately yet I'm constantly making sure I get extra points yet it's not working.

I’m on Switch and the crashing is the worst it’s been since the hot fix. I still plug along because I really do love this game. I hoping they delay the Mulan update to really dive in and fix the issues everyone is having ✌️💜

It does seem like they plan on having new house skins in the shop most weeks. Trying to make sure most of our dreamsnap moonstones will go to those, thus forcing us to buy more moonstones. 😮‍💨

I’m really deflated about where the game is going. It just feels like they’re putting all their energy into premium items rather than fixing bugs, giving us game play and earn-able items. The prices of moonstones are wildly expensive considering they’re giving us very little reason to play 🙈

As someone who only plays a few hours at most a day, some days not at all, the newest update has been a nightmare. I’ve not been able to buy anything in the store because it’s so expensive. Feels a bit silly we can earn 4K moonstones for free on dreamsnaps but it costs so much to buy. If I’m spending £4.99 I want at least 10-20k moonstones please!!!! Having to make 25 cupcakes every day, having my game crash, weird bugs, trying to complete the star path before it disappears, trying to get the buttons before they disappear…. All very overwhelming. The game absolutely gears towards those who have lots of time to play.

…also the v8 house and gas station would be great for the old tropicore/vapor wave themes (think miami or ft lauderdale florida in the 80s… or just Golden Girls tv show set

The money from microtransactions doesn't go to the devs -- it goes to the executives and shareholders!

My biggest issue with the game is that we haven't gotten ANY new FREE clothes in the item shop. Like, no new free stuff, and like I get it, they gotta make money but there's so many premium items to keep them going that they could at least give us a little bit each update. This last update we got a pair of glasses and two headbands in the normal free shop. Please for the love of god, give us more clothes that we don't have to pay premium money for or get just in the star path.

Thx so much for using your platform to represent us. I’m on Xbox & I crash every 20-30 minutes. My DS took me hours & it still wasn’t what I built bc it kept disappearing. It’s unfortunate that it’s zapping the joy out of it & being a source of frustration instead of a refuge. I don’t mind supporting the game buying MS occasionally but this is out of hand now. It feels impossible to “keep up” & again, taking the fun out of the game IMO.

I still love the game, and I'm on PC so I haven't been experiencing the crashes. But the other glitches are so annoying. Trying to make the dreamsnap picture has been a nightmare with items going invisible all the time.

Got a message on there today, along with some rewards saying they’re working on it. What’s crazy is that even restarting my Nintendo/the game, will do nothing about the quest issue. Hopefully they do push it another couple weeks.

For a game that's not in Early Access anymore, it's still buggy as hell like one. I don't usually witness too many bugs but the recent update made me see a lot more bugs than usual. I bought this game thinking it would be F2P later but they changed that, but kept the F2P mechanics anyways like we didn't pay to play the game as is. I wish we would stop normalizing this kind of thing. I was okay with the DLC and premium shop and star path because we were initially told that this would be a F2P game. But this is a PAID game now. I get things happen and things can change, but this was like a last minute change and they wouldn't even let us know until AFTER the full release. This game is a good vibe at times without the bugs but there's so many bugs we still have since day one that Gameloft refuses to fix. My fear is that one day, this game will wind up like the Sims 4 where they'll just keep adding things and ignoring the bugs that came with those new additions. And eventually once those bugs build up to a certain degree, it will break the entire game. I'm all for Gameloft trying to make PC games, but they REALLY need to keep the mobile, F2P microtransaction-hell games on Mobile only. Not port them to PC and act like it'll be fine. Also, whoever thought it would be a good idea to add Doors to ToM but NOT make them able to replace our functional doors needs to get demoted. ESPECIALLY since we only have a couple of doors as is. Most doors we have don't fit the aesthetic I try to go for, and I'm sure many others would agree.

I agree with everything you said, 💯 thousand percent! Stupid Gameloft developers are getting extremely lazy it's downright freaking ridiculous. I keep saying it in DDV support, but do they ever listen, he'll no! It's up to the fans to do something, unless Stupid Gameloft wants an angry 😠 mob of people at their doorsteps.🚪 😡

The game was supposed to be finished there shouldn't this broken. I can't do anything with the update so I think I'm going to take a break until the next upcoming.

I haven’t had the chance to play Dreamlight Valley but after this I’m not sure if I want to. Disney makes so much money off of pumping out products that struggle to meet the bare minimum so to spend money on something from a company that makes millions if not billions of dollars to just make people ‘settle’ for a game that is struggling with basic function is disappointing. It’s one thing if a game has bugs when the game is pushed to its limit but when basic game mechanics are broken it’s just sad. This video was really informative and helped me understand the state of the game and why I will be taking my gaming hours elsewhere, but I do truly hope that those who play the game and have invested time into it can get the improvements they need to make the game more enjoyable. Hope you’re doing well and I hope this doesn’t seem like a hate comment I’m just stating my opinion about the game and the situation surrounding it, I think everyone should play games that they enjoy and make them happy ❤

I have gotten a little bored with the game, the whole dream light fest even was bugged I barely was able to get the cupcakes and I am playing on PC, also the boutique Managans need to be fixed. I had planned on starting my own gaming channel and DDLV is not one of the games I want to play, at least for the time being. Maybe in the future if it becomes fixed.

I haven’t been able to do daily cupcake quests in 3 days. ☹️

Are you on the switch? I've heard clearing the cache can help fix this glitch for switch users. Fortunately for me, all I have to do is exit out and go back into the game, when it happens to me on pc/xbox

I spent all my moonstones this week before seeing that the fireworks go off. I hope it comes back next time

I got my dream snap done last Wednesday. And both of mr mc duck's weekly quests done I am already for the week. I do already have a wish for the next update the guy from frozen stall more restock timer .

I just checked my error history to see how many times it has crashed...and it is....100 times since 7th May...Gee...It went completely off and wouldn't load but now has gone back to crashing like before during game play..

Pc play has been fine for me but I have seen a increase in lagging. The quest issues others have stated I have not had. The disapering furniture has happened here and there on the switch but not on my pc. On the switch I have seen crashing but it is rare.

It is next to play now I'm hiving up the festive event because everytime I make cupcakes I crash . I have had to do each one up to three times. It's not worth the frustration. My furniture disappears I have to sign in several times dreamsnap take days and then I crashed after submitting. I play on switch .

I feel very lucky to not have run into these issues. I have had items disappear when decorating but not that much one or two items and not often enough to ruin my dreamsnaps. The event works fine for me. And I don’t crash unless I cook outside so I just don’t cook anywhere but indoors

Great content , unfortunately im someone who physically cant play the game , i paid how much over the duration of this star path n and every 20 minutes mine is worse i agree with some players , ive lost progress due to the crashes , i cant play a premium star path i actually paid out for and yes im on a break from it , anyone who likes a chilled creative game id suggest jurassic park evolution 2 ... they even have dinosaurs that glow at night time ❤❤ but i hope the game gets sorted

I have two accounts and one of my accounts I can do quest in, but the second one I cannot do anything past Daisy duck telling me to put down flowers around Erindale castle. Cannot do any of that none of the rest of the Daisy duck. I’ve contacted them. They’ve done nothing to reset my account. I haven’t seen this anywhere else or other people having problems, finishing quests.

FYI, not only am I having problems with quest for Daisy duck other quest even the new Disney quest appear to be locked they don’t show up telling me how many cupcakes to make. I have to quit the game and the game go back into the game and maybe the quest will be there. Sometimes several times in a row. This game is broken, the moonlight quest are broken and I really don’t need to spend more time in this game when there are better games out there where they actually listen to users

I can’t find any red buttons. They don’t respawned. So I can’t make any popcorn containers 😢

I quit DLV. For now. Went back to playing a console game Dragon Quest 11, that uses only a cd, no server to crash, no bugs or glitches. DLV was, I say was, one of my favourite games, but it is broken.

Same here, just playing to do Dream Snaps for free Moonstones. I've been trying to finish Xenoblade 3.

Did anyone have any issues with buy moonstone. From last weeks update till this weeks I have been unable to buy moonstone as it says it’s unable to connect, but I’m online and able to see the star path and shop page.

Did you make a ToM door? Did you hide the real door behind a bookshelf? That's clever.

I never thought I would stop playing but unfortunately it's impossible to play now.

I play on Xbox series S and my game crashed (requiring a restart) FIFTEEN times in less than 2 hours! It's so frustrating!

You have to be on a computer!! You have so many decorations!! The switch has awful limitations..on top of soft locking still..sigh..

I just don't get how you pretty much always end up with 4000 stones, especially in outfit challenges which seem to be harder to score (for me)... I think I'm always trying to use all your tips with using all the tags as much as possible etc... but especially if I enter late in the contest I always end up with 600-900, otherwise not more than 1200. I'm poor. 😔

Luckily my crashes r not too bad (knock on wood) i just experienced disapearing furniture once during my last dream snap attempt. I only tend to crash as im trying to save and quit to the title screen anyway. Im not doing that great on dreamsnaps… i really want that new v8 house- im a sucker for house skins… but im not really a fan of decorating… moreso for story and starpath… so im pretty starved for moonstones saving for next parh in june 12 ish … im on nintendo switch- i do need a new game though… maybe fortnite?!

My game doesn't crash very often, but my items are always disappearing 😕 I too am taking a break for right now.

Maybe they should test drive their own updates if they aren't doing that yet because these bugs gives me the impression that they don't 🙃

It's really starting to feel like they really aren't prioritizing bug fixes. When they left the bug where the Ancient Vacuum lost it's 'select all' button for months, I kinda lost faith that they wanted to make sure DDV was always working great. Losing the 'select all' didn't make it unplayable by any means but it felt like it was just a small coding mistake that they didn't seem to care about. I'd rather have more hotfixes and have big updates take like a week or two longer to come out than have a three-months-on-the-dot release cycle and blindly hope one of my complaints gets fixed in the update.

Shitty business practices. No one wants to be nickel and dimed in a full priced game. Best to wait for the game to die and to pirate it.

Try restarting the game. I had the same issue with Scrooge, until it accepted the cupcake 🧁 quest when I restarted.

Oh yeah. I am taking a break from this very frustrating every minute CRASH in my game. It's in DLV causing the problem in PS4. They keep saying they will FIX it but it's been a long week now. Still no action. I hope soon before I lose or some gamers lose their hopes or patience in this game. It's not playable anymore. You will not last a minute on the game. I and some people invest in and love this game. But I think I have a small patient now. I even made this game DLV from the start and am not having any problems. But I don't want to go all over again. Especially am way far, far away from this game. My decor, my stuff, my time. I don't know anymore. I hope they resolve this problem in PS4. Think some devices do not have much of this problem.

I'm rich but even I don't like buying overpriced stuff in this game every week. I do play other games and might spend the money there. It is more expensive than some pvp games lol.

I think the problem is that they're still treating this game as free-to-play. Fixing problems? Nah. Thousands of moonstones' worth of items every week? Oh yeah. Think about how freaking long it took them to release the dreamlight armor and partners statue. What was in it for them to spend any amount of time on that? Like you, I say this because I LOVE this game. If I didn't, I would have stopped playing ages ago. Someone asked me on my stream last week if I recommend it, and for the first time, I just couldn't. It honestly breaks my heart that it's gotten to this state. Sorry for the long comment! I just can't stop ranting about this lol EDIT: Well, I guess they're proving me wrong! (at least as far as the bugs are concerned)

The game is unplayable for me. Crashing every 15 min, quests glitching......among everything else. I have dropped alot if money on this game, but no more. If they are going to charge these ridiculous prices, I expect the game to work. Time to play my other Steam games.

I deal with crashes so often on the Switch. I know that crashed will happen with the Switch. I understans that. It happens especially with Lego games. But it happens SO SO often with DLV. I love this game, but I haven't played the new parks fest quest because of the crashes. I bought the expansion right before the Oswald update. I'm not a complainer usually. But this is driving me nuts! 🥹😂
