Selena Quintanilla didnt deserve to die. She was a beautiful young woman. The thing that hurt me the most was that the doctors knew that she wouldn’t survive but still tried to save her. Until this day she will always be my idol. She couldn’t even perform this song since it came out 4 months after her tragic death. We love you Selena. ❤️

I was 5 when she passed. My sister used to sing this to me to sleep back in the Philippines, forward to this day, I never knew big of an icon and influencer she has been far beyond her music. Hers was a movement, a representation not only of Mexican-Americans but of all Latinas who dreamt big and fought hard for their space. She paved the way for stars like J.Lo. Shakira etc. to be more appreciated and viewed for their artistry and individuality. Reina por siempre.

She had a career but sadly it was taken by someone who was selfish, I am so sorry Selena you were to young to have that type of death, just hoping in heaven your having the best moments.
