Excellent interview as always. I watch your videos all the time. Keep up your good work. Sonam La, it was a great joy to watch you and others in Toronto to do the Tibetan gorshay every Wednesday. I watch you guys all the time. I am very happy to see that doing traditional Tibetan dances are becoming very popular in Tibetan communities in exile, including Tibetans in Bylakuppe where I came from. I applaud Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) doing live Tibetan dances from dharmsala; I watch them without fail. Tibetan traditional dance and songs are so rich and varied, and we should not only preserve them, but also pass onto our younger generation who will pass onto the next generations. Of late, I am also happy to see our fellow Tibetans in Tibet are also doing their best to revive and preserve our traditional Tibetan dances, in particular Nangma Toshe. Victory for Tibet!

you are right, historically kham and bhoe was different but now we are all tibetan. Khampa tibetan, amdo tibetan, toepa tibetan, denzong tibetan, drukpa tibetan, ladakhi tibetan, sherpa tibetan, etc... We can't be hypocritical and criticize china abt sinicizing tibet while at the same time we do the same. We have to embrace our own ancestor's culture so we can share with each other, producing a rich culture, and at the same time come together as tibetan in productive and difficult times. This way everyone would be happy and we can progress from there like the japanese and koreans have over the years.

I know that you are one of those Chinese paid dogs. I will let you know that Tibet has 3 provinces called Utsang, Dhotod, and Dhomed. There is no such as Druk Tibet, Drajong Tibet, Ladakh Tibet or any other Tibet. The people you named are followers of Tibetan Buddhism and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. They are definitely dear to Tibetans, and they all are close to Tibet. You or China can not force any one of those people to hate Tibet or Tibetans.

@@sonam1959_ they have tibetan culture, meet one before talking. Some of them might have been mixed with tai/burmese people but they and many other himalayan people are more closer to toepa than amdowa is to toepa.

@tashdeleg1, You are indirectly implying that Khampa people tend to identify as Khampa above being Tibetan first because you want to make it seem like Khampa people have shenko (regionalism). You are causing disharmony (tookshing) in our community by saying compliments that are indirectly implying other things.

Not sure if “gorshey queen” was self appointed but I don’t think she deserves the title, Tenzin Lhadon is more suiting for gorshey queen, the way she carries herself when she dances, mature and with elegance. Lhadon has been at every lhakar before it got famous n got so many young girls inspired. Sonam came after, there some thing fake or insincere about her.

Besides if I was jealous and insecure I would not be praising other people and giving credit where credit is due.
