Facts!!!! The Wiz, too.

Saw the original version on Broadway when I was in high school. Shook my world. Seen it many many more times on Bway, on tour, regional, the movie, online, etc. etc. trying desperately to rekindle that feeling of seeing it for the first time. My life was forever changed by this show -- I entered the world of show business -- and will be forever grateful.

One of the "Best" musicals I've ever seen in my Life! So fortunate to have seen the original on Broadway 👏🏾

I am a friend of Jennifer Holliday. She is the most gorgeous, beautiful soul!!! To know her is to love her!!!!! This tribute is off the charts!!!!! Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this tribute! I've been a fan of Dreamgirls since 1982. I've been cast in 4 different productions, did some extra work on the film, and have gotten to befriend Sheryl, Loretta, Jennifer, and Obba. It was a dream come true to take part in the 35th Anniversary concert, and share the stage with all three original Dreams, AND my dear friend, Mary Wilson.💝 #EternallyGrateful #Dreamboy

Once upon a time I attended the same church as Ben Harney. Everyone was all aflutter about this show and as others have said here in the comments, this show had a PROFOUND impact on me. My brother was a huge Supreme's fan and I could not believe just how beautiful this show was and the staging and the dancing, especially "Step Into The Bad Side", extraordinary!! Thank you for this, you brought us back to magical moments!

I remember seeing the show in December in 1981 the week between Christmas and News years .

I was lucky to see the Boston try out…..the most amazing musical i have ever seen!!!! Ms Holiday took the roof of the theater!!!! I still get chills when i hear her sing!!!

I love images that are taken during the creative process, and I love the shots of Michael Peters, who was an amazing choreographer.

Roz Ryan is so talented. I didn't know she was in Dreamgirls. I bet she was amazing!

This is in my top 3 of favorite movies I watched it everyday for 2 years straight ❤

the THEATRE PRODUCTION WITH SHIRLEY, JENNIFER, LORRETA SHOW ON BROADWAY...I WAS 17 ANDD WISHED I COULD HAVE SEEN THIS PRODUCTION. I REMEMBER EVERYBODY FROM MY GAY BROTHERS AND SISTERS TALKING HOW FABULOUS ALL OF THEM WERE. IT WAS A DAILY I THNK 6 SHOWS A NIGHT NOT SURE. THEY KEPT TELLING ME HOW THE CROWD LOST IT. BUT WHEN JENNIFER SUNG WITHOUT A MIC ..AND I'M TELLING YOU AT ALL SHOWS SHE GOT A STANDING OVATION. GOD BLESS ALL OF THEM. THEY HAVE SHOWED ME IF YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING DREAM AND DO IT. LOVE THIS HUGS HECTOR

Sheryl Lee Ralph, not 'Shirley' - On Broadway there are microphones everywhere, even in the wigs on their heads. It is 7 shows a week - 2 on Wednesdays and Saturdays with Monday night being dark. (FYI) - Thanks for watching, Prof Shields

Fabulous show, I saw it 4 times.

Thank you so much for this. I understand many of the cast and supporting crew members have departed this earth, sadly, much too soon. It was hard to say goodbye. They are not forgotten.

I don't understand why such plays are not on DVD. Sad shame as I have seen other plays readily available, but not this or THE WIZ with Stephanie Mills. What gives. I heard that these plays were on Broadway for DECADES and did phenominally well, so it can not be because they were/are not worth saving to disc... If anyone knows of availability please let me know...

I was sooo young when the play came out, I didn’t get the opportunity to see it. But I loved the movie; which made me want to see the play even more!

Earl Miller, I did not like the movie at all. Not 100% truthful. They should've made the movie based on Mary Wilson's book Dreamgirls. I saw Diane Ross on David Letterman one night. She said she was going to see the movie with her Lawyers. They made Diane look like a nice person in the movie and she was not a nice person in real life. She is/was a bit..
