SuA is known with her crazy costumes (last year she dressed as the clown from IT for the whole thing not only the special stage) so InSomnia were expecting it but still was so crazy

It was a lot of fun. Hopefully we get more live bands in the future cause it really works with their songs/performances. Hellboy Sua will go down in history!

The highlights for me was the Fly High ballad, solo stages and the encore. Special nomination also goes to Can't Get You Out Of My Mind in rock version, sounded even better than the original. And of course Wolfie Siyeon's vocals were out of this world. Best concert I saw of them and it was my fourth one.

Oh true! We forgot to mention the ballad version. We weren't too familiar with Can't Get You Out Of My Mind so didn't notice that it was a different version! We'll have to revisit the song. Wow, fourth concert! That's saying a lot, especially considering the other ones were live (we presume)!

@@teacupfury6133 2 were live, 1 was a mini concert, like KCON. They were invited to perform at a Hallyu festival. The other one was a full live concert and the third one was also a online concert. dongie received notes and diagrams of her position in Boca and she received practice videoes she didn't have trainers physically present to train Boca or scream she worked really hard proud of dongie ❤️

My favourite is the first time ever Flyhigh stripped down version. Also Handong's voice in Jazz Bar, she's perfect for jazz. Yay to wishes coming through. The live music worked so well. The solo stages were great, once Hellboy stepped out in was game over! We just heard about the japanese release and we're excited. It's a pity Handong couldn't take part. :(

If you check out Dongie's vlog (thankfully translated by 7Dreamers over on Vlive) you'll get to see bits of her quarantine daily routine along with her coming out of quarantine (also her casually calling Leez 'Soomin oppa' lol) - she had 'homework' to do while in quarantine to learn 7 songs worth of choreography. I think it's also something that a lot of us forget - them singing and dancing *is* their job, not a side thing they do for fun, so learning choreography as a full-time job lets them really blast through and wear all of that into muscle memory. Technically all of the costumes are all cosplay - which is allowed under fair use (like can you imagine the headaches of everyone at SDCC if it wasn't? oof). I was 100% trying to *not* to scream when I heard that intro to Gain's Bloom because it was like 4 am for me. Siyeon then killed me with Paradise Lost. That is right when I stopped functioning and lost all higher brain functions.

So true! Their performances are fun for us, but their full-time job indeed! (And they do it well!) We totally resonate with the loss of brain function early morning of that concert... 🤣

Siyeon outdid all of the studio tracks, Handong's parts felt like she never left, Dami and her swag, Yoohyeon's vocals were better than ever, Sua and her hypeness and trolling gimmicks, Jiu with her charisma and leadership of the entire event, and baby Gahyeon just being my bias and biaswrecking me at the same time with that Mera costume

Yeaaaaaaaaah thanks for the review "baby" InSomnias!! 🥳 As usual really enjoyed your comments and thoughts. Loved the concert so much! There was some sound issue at the beginning but they managed to fix it quickly. The transitions were smoother than the previous Online concert as well! I went to their Live concert in Paris in 2019 and it was soooo awesome. But this new one is also sooooooo amazing because of the Live Band! 🤯🤯🤯🤯 Each member of the band are great performers as well and they have worked with great artists in South Korea. Like you said, it brought a whole new level to the songs! 😍 Others already said it in their comments, but Handong indead learn the choreos quickly. When she was still in China, she put a video on her weibo where she was learning "Boca" choreo by herself and "covering" it and when she was in South Korea, she already started to learn during her quarantine in the hotel room. 😎 Today on Dreamcatcher channel, they released the VLog of the Online concert and more preparation footage. Handong started her days earlier than the other members with the choreographer (the dancer with red hair) and what was funny was seeing the others having more difficulty to adjust (like JiU) because of muscle memory. 😅 For the costumes, they changed every year. And Disney costumes are always really trendy in the world, including South Korea (BTS had their "GO GO" dance practice with Disney Snow White costumes, Dahyun from Twice was the Genie from Aladdin, KARD, etc...). If you can, please check their incredible busking in Halloween costumes back in 2018. We always appreciate seeing dance practices and hearing about their hard work. Being an idol is intense! That concert was an emotional rollercoaster, for me, in the best way! It especially held a lot of meaning if you watch every last drop of Dreamcatcher content. Like how I got a little teary when the ballad version of Fly High started because, on Idol House, Jiu said she really wanted to perform a slow version of Fly High. Or Dami's Boss Baby being a throwback to Yoohyeon reading the Boss Baby book in their Self-Made BOCA video. But what really got me was at the end when they did the encore version of Tension and Dami, with all her power, screamed "넌 지금 잘하고 있어! (You're doing well, now!)" It sent tingles all up my spine and made me tear up because it reminded me of their, "Between Dreamcatcher and Me" interviews when they kept telling themselves this. It was so positive and lovely. Oh, and let me tell you, as a fan of Kpop since the second generation, when I heard Gain's BLOOM start up during Gayheon's solo I literally screamed out, "NOOOOO!" Not our maknae covering the sexiest, most sensual artist in Kpop! Only to be mortified later when I realized Siyeon was covering Gain's Paradise Lost. Whew...this ride was ALOT, and I'd do it all again! ^_^

I think JiU choose Judy for her costume because she always call herself a rabbit, tbh. Sua always goes for that type of costumes so, it was expected (still a surprise, but not an unexpected one lol) and, for the others, well, I think they just choose something they wanted lmao (everyone did xd)

I felt like I was at a metal concert Dreamcatcher need to live bands all the time their music is made for a live band! As a massive Disney fan Toy Story and Zootopia are masssive in the Asian Disney parks (they tend to prefer the cute animals to the princess movies). Hellboy SuA wrecking everyone, I hope they do a actual tour for their next album 🤞🏻

Oh that makes sense, we went to Disney Hong Kong, and now that you mention it we didn't see as many princesses. And yes more live band sets, it just works so well with their music and performance style!

Yass the solo stages really are the highlight but also my favorite is the encore too, it's just feel really great and makes me miss the physical concert.. Also maybe you can react to the Dreamcatcher Note of the Seven Spirits, it's like a more bts scene from the concert :"))

The solo stages were all really fun. We'd love to see them live, they're so high energy. But at least we get to see them virtually for now. We'll make a note of it, but I think we'll be looking at Piri and the new japanese release next!

Handong learnt Scream on her own four months ago. She had to relearn it and three other songs whilst in Quarantine in the hotel.

In fact I'm a dystopia baby 👶 I sometimes wonder how much it shows, and although I had no spoilers it was my first concert and I enjoyed how they sounded with the band, Handong has really worked a lot, of course all the girls have done it but there is a lot more than she wanted to do, she mentioned that for the solo performance she also wanted to do a choreography but she didn't have time and that she tried to do as much as possible to make up for the time she was not there 😭 ah my heart 💔 she is so sweet... the pre-recorded parts were the costumes only from what I could perceive, and KARD also included woody and Judy for their performance for Halloween... I was also wondering why the coincidence haha... 😂 and SuaYeon being cruHELLa in Dear was something else, I don't usually listen to ballads because they make me sensitive and then DC does this with the ballad from the album.. only them seriously 😂 I could highlight the WHOLE concert 💗 but in addition to the presentations with the costumes I must say: Fly High Acoustic: in fact it's one of my least favorite songs (don't burn me) but I felt that this version will forever be one of my favorites 💗 The Encore: This part with CGYOOMM, Tension and Mayday ah... honestly I was crying with the messages from the girls that they had shown just before 😭 and at that point I felt.. oh.. they don't want this to end up being something sad.. they like always want to bring us happiness... and ah... I even got up and jumped with them... 💗 although they recently released the Dc Note and 😭 siyeon was actually crying at the end of the concert.. oww my baby wolf 😭👶🐺 Guuuuuuuuuuys, I have news for you, DC just announced (on Friday the 13th lol) a new Japan Digital single 'NO MORE' that will be released this November 20, but Handong is not participating 😭

Oooh happy that you enjoyed this much the concert (but it was expected!). It was a bit challenging on my side as I had my 5yo daughter but she enjoyed it as well. I was kind of worried during the solos to be honest 😅😅😅. Also, it is your musical taste so it's fine if you like less "Fly High". In fact, in the fandom, there were quite some InSomnias who did not enjoy as much "Fly High" but at the same time new ones entered the fandom thanks to it. It is also the same with "Scream" and "Boca" which are sometimes judged as more mainstream by a few older Somnies. Personally my least favorite main track is "What" just because of the chorus from first listens but it grew on me later on (I'm including the Japanese songs and excluding "RoSE Blue" because there was no real promotion for it). Also many Somnies prefer their B-sides over the main tracks. 😊 Despite that, we are still all cheering for the girls! Looking forward to their new Japanese release as well (even if they are only 6 again)!

It's a pity Handong didn't have more time to do her stage the way she wanted, but her performance as it was was great. Haha I guess Woody and Judy are super popular! I was almost expecting Aladdin or Elsa to appear too, but then things took a turn towards the sexier side with Mera, Cruella and Helloboy! DC really hitting us with a new realease! Argh, between BTS and DC, the 20th is going to be a crazy day haha

@@teacupfury6133 Yeah, I had listened to DC songs since Deja vu but I didn't even know their names, when BOCA comes out I did a mini thesis on KZread to see if it would be Insomnia and to choose my Bias in 10 days I think 🤣 I can still say that there are still many others who know more than me but I'm happy to be of help to those who want to be Insomnia too 💖 the 20th is going to be a Great day 🙌

adjusting the choreo shouldn't be that big of a deal for them. they are pretty much professional dancers and normally only take a couple days to memorize a choreo. it's probably harder for the original members who already have choreos in muscle memory to readjust than for handong to learn it. anyways it was great overall having the live band for the first time and seeing handong together in pretty much a full year.

That's a good point, I wonder how many times their muscle memory took over. The live band was great, hope we get more of that in the future, and it was great to have Handong back in the fold. It's a shame she isn't part of their upcoming japanese release, but that makes sense.

@@teacupfury6133 There's a clip in their most recent dreamcatcher note showing some of the dance practice for the concert where Jiu messed up the choreo for one of her lines that Handong got in Scream (1:03 in the video). Basically she turned around when she wasn't supposed to due to muscle memory and they were all laughing. Clearly though they all adapted and adjusted well to the changes that ended up being made.
