The song is about a memory so painful you can't stop thinking about it, try to move on and think of it again, deva vu. The video game is about a betrayal, so this MV is about Yoohyeon betraying everyone to gain the throne even though everything she had was destroyed once she got there.

Dreamcatcher has some fantastic emotional headbangers. Deja Vu was one of the first but there's several in their discography that can make you emotional and make you want to jam out at the same time.

Deja Vu is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a beautiful, fragile ballad that kicks your teeth down your throat in the chorus. It is extra difficult to sort out, because it tells the story from two perspectives. You know how even evil people think they are the good guys? This is reflected here. One perspective is Yoohyeon's, who gets corrupted right in the beginning. She thinks JiU is bad (does not want to share power) and backstabs her and kills, imprisons or banishes the other members so that she can rule alone. The other perspective is reality, where we can see JiU be kind to Yoohyeon, but she gets killed for it. I believe this is a commentary on the different perspectives people can have about the same event. The lyrics seem to hint at an abusive relationship, where there are usually two perspectives as well, and the abuser finds excuses to justify their actions, while the abused find themselves in an endless Deja Vu.

I think you enjoy their music more if you dont focus that much on the storyline first, maybe a 2nd listen or on your own time cuz in the end of first listen you wont figure the storyline even if you focus on it lols
