This fork of Batocera, which now is called Knulli and not considered a mainline Batocera release, is still in beta. But yeah, some things seems to run better on the stock fw, I still have to upgrade that one.

What is that main menu theme call do you have a link or a video on how to make it look like that?

Thank you for another great video, bro! After watching the comparison, I'm glad I decided to stick with the stock OS (influenced by your previous video as well!). Speaking of the stock OS, have you tried the latest update? People say it improves both PSP and Dreamcast emulation significantly. I was hesitant to update it since the modified OS worked great for me.

Thank you for your comment brother. I haven’t tried out the latest firmware yet but I will. Also I saw that there’s an update on the modified stock firmware too. It could be an update based on the latest firmware. Make sure to read the github regarding the firmware requirements before updating.

I just installed The modified Stock os on a 512gb Samsung card 3 days ago, and so far for me everything works flawless

It runs good on Batocera, you have to play with the settings in Flycast. StockOS already has the settings.

It runs choppier on Batocera through flycast & that’s exactly my point about the Stock firmware, you don’t have to configure anything. You just play as is.

I don’t have problems on Batocera (no issues), and yes, you have to play with settings.

@@manuelrodriguez9972 Good for you. Again, you don’t have to tweak the settings on Stock & lots of people don’t like to play around with the settings. Stock os has a seamless user experience as I have shown through the video. The rest is up to the users.

⁠You’re right, there’s videos on how to set it up really easy, but there’s some users they don’t like to check them, and I understand that. All I can say is that I love Batocera!

Great video. Two questions : where do i find the modified stockos and how do I downgrade from batocera to that modified stockos?

I have the links in the description & to install the modified stock os you need the stock firmware already installed, you’ll just have to install the modified os over it.

Mine freezes on ra as well but didn’t stutter that much

You should also try mu OS vs stock OS performances, too.

I’ll install MuOS once they’ve added psp emulation. Last I checked it’s still in the process.

muOS has ppsspp core in RetroArch though. It runs the games I've tried through there without any noticeable problems. The games I've tried are not the most demanding though, Locoroco 1&2, Soul Calibur, Patapon and Blazblue Continuum Shift 2.

Really, I didn’t know about that. I saw it on their list of upcoming features that they would be adding psp support along the way, that’s why I didn’t bother trying it out.

what is the difference between the stock os and MOD stock os? will the games also run smoothly in stock os? I still wondering why mod os is better than stock os

I have the stock firmware, default settings. I can’t get analogue to work for Dreamcast at all. Do you know how to fix that?

I bought it today. I only got 20-25 fps on mvc2 in RA. Firmware is 20240222. Any solutions? Great vid bro

I’ll have to try it out & see if there’s any good tweaks. But not all games run at full speed.

You DON'T have to set the frameskip every time.. in options there exists a menu for 'Overrides', in there select to 'Save Game Overrides'. Next time the game will load with the frameskip already set. ;-)
